its ok your pretty new me and a few others have been here for a few years and are on here atleast once a day

i wrote the first how to i think a little over a year ago and just sold the kit a few months ago i just had pics from then i took it off that i though i should add to it and some more details because i get alot of emails on it people asking where to get parts what kind of power it puts out etc wink.gif

yep the turbo was rebuilt and ic piping was redone along with some newer stuff like intercooler bov fmu injectors etc if he ever sells that kit it should go to another 6gc member tongue.gif

and yes, if i sell it, it will def go to a 6gc member. finally got the car registured and insured, and their is a major increase in acceleration and HP then when it was stock. i raced my friends 1998 Eclipse RS turbo running 7lbs of boost and his cars a manual and a 2.0L and mines an automatic and i still beat his A$$. cant wait till i take it to the track in a few weeks smile.gif

Isn't it funny how the word around the Internet is that the 7A-FE can only take 7 PSI with stock internals safely? That's BS...my friend just started boosting 10 on mine and he has put over 500 miles on it and the engine is fine...plus all the times I boosted 12 PSI on stock injectors with the broken piston trying to break the other ones, LOL. The engine can take the beating! =P

EDIT: The auto tranny pisses me off...it's fine in the beginning but then drops RPM too much on the top and the boost level decreases. I wish the tranny would shift later and the redline on the engine was more than 6,2xx. =(

Well... based on the powerband, there's not a lot of power/torque up there anyway, so I'd imagine the AUTO is still very quick... almost or possibly even as quick as its 5 speed counterpart. With Auto trannies, a lot less boost is lost between shift since the auto tranny keeps constant load on the engine.

As for the max boost... it's all about tuning. Keep the fuel going... you can turn up the boost a ways before the engine blows... but just don't get boost greedy. ;]

just think what you can do at 10psi its a world of difference between 7 and 10 tongue.gif
