You want to sell me the fenders, hood or your stock hood, either bumper, and both sets of headlights, as I want to put a 6th gen front end on my 5th gen celica. Would be sweet. Let me know

so you paid 1,700 more then a 2nd gen. And you get how much more hp? 30 or 40? I'd say do a turbo upgrade with that cash. But hey- your money not mine.

first thing - I did not buy it. I had a deal with the seller and my other half couldn't come up with the rest of the $$, as I have already posted. confused.gif The deal was $3700 shipped, OK SlowCelica94, about $1700 more than a 2nd gen clip, now... this clip has about 30K miles on it and very little maintence would be needed to this practicly new engine compared to an 80K 2nd gen motor. The fact that the 205 is MAP based as opposed to MAF is reason alone to get it. Also, as we all know, this clip had the 205 body panels in perfect shape (including the OEM fogs(<-big $$), brackets, rebar, ect..) which from toyotaworld is about $1700+ for what that had. If I could of come up with about 1K more, I would of bought the clip 5 days ago, the seller and I had the deal in place.

Dustin, all it means is a little more time to save my friend. There will be other good deals coming down the pipe. And, you are right, I am convinced that 3rd gen with body panels is the way go. Silver GT4...yum.

i know your trying to do the right thing for your motor, but this is one of those times where you should just trust the guys who have had their swaps for a while and have done a ton of research into this.

map would be nice. I suppose your right tho- I didn't take in account the body pannels. I just sorta looked at it as an engine. But 80k miles on a 2nd gen is a bit high. I think you've been looking at some bunk ass clips.

you'll find the guy up on alltrac.net
after reading his posts, he seems wary that it might have been a scam. you'll know what i mean if you read the thread.

**i'm not sure if i'm allowed to post of other forums, so i wouldn't be surprised if this gets deleted**

i was the runner up for this clip when it went off ebay. soon after it sold the seller emailed me and said that the buyer flaked on him and it was mine if i wanted it so we agreed on 2300 shipped and i asked him to ship it C.O.D. (also at my cost) he would not do it. he replied and said i do not ship cod or use paypal. also if you look at the ebay page behind his seller name it says not a registered user. so i backed off as i dnt wnt to loose tht much money. so anyone dealing with this guy be wary

I thought I was the runner up or does my $3100 bid not count.

I did the same thing and got similar emails back, No Paypal, MO or Cashers check or direct wire transfer only...

That's a pretty good scam... telling the top few bidders that the high bidder backed out and then getting paid like 5 times for something he didn't even have for sale in the first place.

Sounds like a scam...I wonder what he would've said if I told him I'd come pick it up. Vancouver is just a few hours away.
