lol, I was looking at some of my old posts about my automatic ST, god those are entertaining to read. I'm all about speed now, less about body modification. What about everyone else? Who has changed in their view of how fast / how it looks of their car? I personally prefer speed, but if I can make the car look good its even better.

Right now I've got two cars

1.)90 Notchback Mustang, 351 with a C4 transmission, saleen front bumper/spoiler, welds racing wheels, full interior, recently repainted black - Daily driver/sleeper <-Needs NAWZ!

2.)98 Toyota Celica GT 5-speed, coming apart piece by piece, interior is completely gutted, needs a GT-4 hood, I've got a 3SGTE in my parents garage waiting to be dropped in.

My plans are ...

-Repaint the car to a darkish 'midnight' blue color complete repaint.
-I've already ordered some OZ Superleggeras through my hook up
-3SGTE is going to be dropped in as soon as the car is completely repainted
-probably going to modify the stockhood to some semblance of the GT-4 or go FMIC, most likely FMIC
-NAWZ! wink.gif

More updates later, and I'll post some pics of the 351 later on since its 5:40AM right now and I don't feel like going outside.

Muahahahaha!!!

Oh yeah Andason, do I get my NAWZ points back now?

only apearance mod i made to any of my cars was tint, and that was more for keeping the sun out.

i turboed my ST, no appearance mods other than wheels, but i did need new tires anyways

WRX, only has tint and FMIC, thats all i have done looks wise, and the looks of the FMIC are just an added bonus to the performance gain.

but, as soon as i finish and sell my 260Z turbo, im buying a tranny and clutch for my WRX, then a CF hood and trunk, black 17" wheels, lowering springs, rear sway bar, and anti lift kit.

so some of my money will go towards looks(factory trunk has a small dent and the factory hood has a small area where the clear coat looks to be damaged)

before i do all that tho, i plan to hit 12's in the 1/4 mile with stock turbo, fuel, and 91 octane.

Im not a speed demon... I dont crave makin my car fast...

What I crave is makin my car look sweet. tongue.gif Yes, I am the definition of a Ricer, but it dont matter to me. smile.gif Im the type who just likes cruisin around in a sweet lookin ride, ya know? I dont race around, or go looking for races... I dont wanna tamper around with my engine, and possible screw something up... I just wanna leave the engine a lone... Plus, I cant put any engine mods in it anyways... We had a bad experience with a Civic and engine mods... We put a few thing under the hood and suddenly the thing eats up gas like crazy, and goes through a lot of oil... My car right now engine wise, is just fine... smile.gif

You can make your car look sweet without making it look rice. Dark tint, nice paint, crystal headlights and turn signals, conservative spoilers and body kits... Give the guys who designed our car some credit.

And there are plenty of non-engine, non-exterior mods where at worst you'll end up doing is putting a few amps through yourself.

...at least you don't have "phat" or "boi" or any annoying l33t sp34k in your name rolleyes.gif

I agree that you can do all body work and the car won't be rice. Lower it, get some nice wheels (no silver, go gunmetal or bronze or black w/ chrome lip), sideskirts, front and rear lip. Maybe some jdm projectors and tails and a clean N1 style exhuast.

Even I wouldnt critize that, as long as you selected a clean lip kit.

Elise uses a 2ZZ high comp motor which is recommended to use 91+ octane which does not equal cheap no matter what the MPG is wink.gif

~15MPG City, ~10MPG Highway <-Mustang

~20MPG City, ~26MPG Highway <-Celica

Nah, don't diss the Mustang, it'll make more power than the Celica ever could imagine without a lot of work, besides at least I put a real engine into the 'stang instead of keeping that crap 5.0 in it.

Anyways w/e, at least I finally got a Celica again as a DD/Project while the 'stang gets a new fuel pump and some other stuff done and until I find time to do my 3S swap wink.gif

I'll get some pictures of both cars soon.

thats on the highway, my WRX gets that much on the highway, and its a 4dr car that weighs a lot more with a bigger engine and way more drivetrain loss

besides, those ratings all go to **** when you drive hard.

and a lotus elise is not a fast car

are you joking! the lotus is fast for what it is! It weighs close to nothing and has 190HP. add a good sized turbo kit and you got yourself a speed demon.

I would just go for a nice crotch rocket.. 50MPG and cheap...

i am not joking. my heavy ass WRX runs faster than elise's and i think its slow

i regularly work on and drive 9-10 second cars. i have been in the worlds fastest 2003 mustang cobra

of the friends i spend the most time with, i have the third fastest car, first is my friends 94 mustang with a fully built 5.4l engine and a T76 turbo, the other is my friends datsun that runs low 12's with traction problems and only 91 octane, it should be in the 11's with a race gas tune and better tires
