I just got my indiglo quges from speedhut. they look awesome, and I am excited to install them though I will probably have to wait till the end of next week to do it. Anyway I was looking at my car and I realized that the needles I have are white as well as the face on the new gauges. I am thinking it is going to to be tough to see the needles. Is there an easy part I can order to fix this like orange needles or some other solution someone can think of? Or am I wrong and I will be fine with the needles?

can't you just paint it whatver color you want?

you should still be able to see the needle even though your gauges are white....both my gauges and my needle is white and i can see my needle just fine

I thought about painting them But then will they still glow through paint at night?

If you say you can see them I'll try first then make a decision if something needs to be done...

never done it myself, so I can't say. Maybe just a thin coat would tint it...

I was worried about not being able to see the needles too. But once they were in I found it wasn't a problem - in fact the 'all white look' is kinda cool. At a glance I can easily see where all the needles are pointing.

At night it is even less of a problem because the needle light colour is more of an off-white /yellowish colour (something I didn't notice on the black gauges cause they don't reflect much light) so it makes it even easier to see your needle position.

I'm not sure where you're from, but if there are many SSIII's in your country they did come out with a white face gauge option and had clear orange needles - so you might be able to find these at an auto-dismantlers.

Another option is to go to your local hobby/model shop and buy some Clear Orange paint - this is used to paint clear plastic lights etc on model cars. I know Tamiya have Clear Orange and Clear Red in their range, and probably other colours too.

**Friendly warning ** The first 2 weeks of driving after installing indiglo gauges can be very hazadous - they just look so cool you wanna keep checking them out and sometimes forget to watch the road - er, at least that's what i've heard . . . from other people

Just buy some low cost coloring markers if you want to change the colors on your gauges. It'd look fine.

Also, you can see the gauges just fine with them stock, it's not a problem. the only problem is keeping the gauges from sticking.

Also, you do tend to look at the gauges while driving for a while... especially at night.

hahaha, that's how i was....

i'll try and get some pics up and show you what they look like during the day and night ASAP.

i would say that if you are having problems seeing it then you can just get some clear spray paint and do them w/e color you want.

I've seen a sixth gen with the needles colored before, and the guy just used a sharpie to color his needles, and they looked pretty good. I can't remember where I saw that though.

My recomendation is to block out the optical lens that send light to your needles (I taped a couple of strips of paper over mine). This way they will be dark when your gauges glow, making things very easy to read, and they look tits.

The gauges are still simple to read during the day.

Note: You can simply remove the 3 main bulbs from the rear of the instrument panel, however, you will not be able to see your odometer at night...

Bro, like every one says yu should have no probs, I really didn't even notice it. But one thing I can give advice on is if you use the double sided tape make sure yu have in everywhere, I had to tear that sh*t back out and redue it because those jokers get hot and bubble up. my needle kept sticking at 80mph on the interstate. And let me say it's no fun re-doing sh*t! best of luck and enjoy!

Just change 3 stock bulbs into red ones(194R) located behind the cluster and your needles going to glow red at night.You can get them from any auto store.
