I'd go with 215/40/17 tires if you don't want your speedometer to be off. But be warned, the ride is pretty rough on 40-series tires. You may want to go with 45-series tires if you don't want to feel every crack and bump in the road. wink.gif

You'll be fine with wheels with a +42mm offset. I believe that forkee's 17" Rage Breakers have a +42mm offset, so you may want to check with him or someone who has wheels with that offset just to be completely sure that you won't have any problems. wink.gif

changed tyres again, 215/40/17 so much better now, although ride quality isnt all to bad, the change isnt that drastic, car looks much better and i can now lower it, so it sits on its ar$e.

ps. i was told the springs i had on the celica is already low as it is, the guy recommend i compress them cos when i ordered "King Spring"-super lows, both the springs measured about the same height and he said wouldn't make a difference....

any opinions on compressed springs?

compressed springs?...hmmm let me think....NO!!!!

go for the: eibach or intrax or toms

and sizes for 17x7 with 40M are:

215-40-17

or

205-45-17

THESE TWO SIZES ARE THE SAME (REMEMBER 205/215 are not measurements, THEY ARE

percantages - %)

I thought 215 was the width of the tire, and 45 was the sidewall percentage (as compared to width). confused.gif
