If my car is running well, and I can get off other commitments, I'd consider it. Depends on location, a 1-2day drive wouldnt be cheap or fun, unless we meet and all ride together.

If we get a strong west coast interest, I like to see it almost dead center of the country.
If not, I would agree to a massive east coast meet. Tail of the dragon, or some other ideas you guys may have. Tennessee would be Ideal IMO DEF -------------------- I will return one day. |

Seriously though, wherever we go, I think getting a house for the weekend for the 6gcers would be splendid.
Let me know, I can get us a super good deal. -------------------- |

ok im selfish and dont want to drive far but how about colorado? its in the middle and theres great scenery up here, i live on a lake and i have access to a private dock with BBQ, volleyball courts, etc, jet skis anyone? could cruise up to estes park or whatever. very doable. just thought id throw it out there.

Topeka, Kansas looks about centered to me.

sure kansas is centered, but i think it would be so much more fun in colorado. i mean, this is a nice place to drive for a summer vacation even without a celica meet. plenty of activities to do here. should try to make it more than just a car meet. one of the best water parks in denver, white water rafting, i dont know im just throwing ideas out. a weekend event would be cool. again im biased, but no matter where it is, i really hope this goes down, i will be there.

Something like colorado seems better to me since im in AZ, id consider going as far as one of these surrounding states. It would be a great meet if everyone could find a place to agree on.

sorry but i think that this is a bit unrealistic. i can see west/east/central meets, but for most people i think it would be very hard to leave home/work and drive several days strait to look at cars. I don't want to discourage others who would be able to do it though, but i wont be able to be there...

DEF, check this out:
When I used to own an S-10, we did something similar with a national meet. It was held in Kansas City, and we organized a BBQ, and basically camped out and cruised and things all weekend. It was a lot of fun, and we had probably 60 vehicles there the first year. My buddy organized camping grounds, food, and such. There is a place here that is cool with having that sort of event camp out for the weekend on the grounds. We had trophies, beer, tons of food, and a lot of fun. Lots of pictures taken, and it turned into an annual even after that year. Now, IF YOU WISH, I can look into it (prices for the camping ground, etc.), but it will be tough. We need an approximate number of people in about two months TOPS so that I could make reservations for the camping ground. People will drive. It could be a driving meet for a lot of people, driving from different parts of the country down to KC. I’m not being selfish here being from Kansas City myself, but it is in the center of the United States. BTW, Topeka is a craphole. Too many potholes and not a lot to do. But, we could drive there one night because they have the kickest-ass drag strip (Topeka is where NHRA was born). We could drag one night, and it’s cheap. Just some things to ponder, everyone let me know what you guys think. -------------------- |
