Hey guy's,
I've been searching for a while and I know that you're supposed to use a restrictor for the oil feed although I can't find exactly where to get one. Can anyone help me out. Also does it just screw into the T piece coming off the block? Thanks for your help. |

are you talking about the feed line to a turbo ? I believe you can get one form ATSracing.com (about $15) or you can make your own.

Yeah the oil feed to the turbo, how do you make your own? Or is it worth it just to buy one? Thanks guys.

to make yor own you would buy a fitting, fill with solder and drill the exact size you need according to your setup. Too big, smoke out the tailpipe, too little then you underfeed the turbo and kiss it goodbye. They offer ones in differnt sizes at ATS I believe.

Inline restrictor for a "T" series turbo is the answer I got back from pressure on this same question

Thanks guy's, I was also wondering if i would need a resistor for the water lines? I've got the stock 3sgte water lines I think. It T's straight off the main water line from the radiator. Cheers.

Hey guy's, You wouldn't know where i can get a resistor with a 10millimetre thread would you? I'm in australia and we don't use imperial, while i'm at it, does the 5sfe have a map or a maf? Is it possible to have the afm before the air filter? there's only the resonator between the air filter and intake manifold. Thanks for your help.

Yeah i'm not running any fuel management or larger injectors, I'd only want to run 5 psi boost, is that stock when you block off the second wastegate actuator air line on the ct26? Does the ct26 use steel oil seals cause i've installed it before without using the resistor and oil was going into the turbine housing and exhaust. Do you reckon it'd be cool to use now with the resistor in? What happens if you run boost on stock map sensor? Run lean? Thanks for all your help.

dun, you wont be able to run 5psi on a ct-26. the stock wastegate actuator setting is 7psi.
if you try to run the stock map sensor without any checkvalves or anything, it will cut out as soon as you hit boost. i REALLY recommend finding a 2 bar map sensor and a set of bigger injectors quick, cause your on the road to poping your motor in a hurry. read up on the stickys @ the top of the forum, and browse thru some of the recent topics for TONS of info on how to get it all done. ohh and btw, sounds like you blew the seals on the turbo, it may need a rebuild at this point. -------------------- Former Team 5SFTE pro member ;)

Thx for the advice presure, I tried searching for this but didn't come up with the exact answer, can the 2 bar map sensor off a 3sgte or other motor (don't know what else carries them) just bolt on to the stock 5sfe without having to upgrade to a better ecu? What color is the 2 bar map sensor, 1 Bar stock Blue?? What cars and years do they come off. It's either doing that or a friend told me i could use a fuel pressure regulator FMU? Also everyone alway's goes on about the importance of correct tuning etc. I fully agree but what exactly does this include? Thanks for your help.
