I might swap my '95 celica front clip to a curren front clip. Guy on celicatech i selling one, hes asking $1500.
Here is the link:(im devilsden97, do u think hes asking to much? And is it an easy swap?)

http://www.celicatech.com/forums/showthrea...8340#post128340

Check it out, tell me what u think (about the curren swap look, and the price)

Wouldnt mind someone telling me how hard the swap will be.

Do u think any old paint place will have the 95 celica red to respray the new front clip?

that would be a big change for the celica, but i like the celica because of the way it looks in the front - with the four head lights and all -that's what makes it unique -

agreed, but i also want it to stand out amoungst other celicas.

My other choice is to get a '99 Beams VVTi in Montreal for $3000 with LSD 5 speed tranny. but my parents are being haters and are like "y do u need that? your car only has 65000 miles." so ill see how each pans out. but i would like to know more about the curren conversion.

PLZ enlighten me on its difficulty, and the guys selling price.

I'd like to see a curren hatch so it sounds awesome

but you also have to remember that it doesnt bolt on there is welding involved cause you have to remove the old core support and weld on the new one.

for rarity of the item, i think its a damn good price. i think its less than a GT4 conversion, and a LOT more rare. ive only seen one curren hatchback combo here in the US (someone posted it a while ago... it was black i remember that). but unless you have experience with this stuff, dont try to do it yourself. the general rule of thumb for me is, if you have to ask a bunch of people on the internet if you can do it, then you cant.

I was thinking about doing it myself...but again then u run the chance of ****ing it up. Idk if anyone is in the wappingers/poughkeepsie area, but if u know Visions of Speed, i think i might take it there. there hourly rate is like $80. Id definatly have to check it out. (or at least look into it more, the install that is)

Then i would have to convince my 'rents to let me get it. They pay my enormously huge insurance bill every 6 months lol (it ends up being 4000 a year, again keep in mind im 18) So if anything goes on the car, they basically have to aprove it. Unfortunatly frown.gif Oh well. wish me luck...i might just do it even if they say no lol and then pay any difference on issurance. ( i dont think it will jack up the inssurence but u never know)

yes, any paint place can do it.. just send them your paint code which is located in your door jamb. it should be 3L2 for Super Red. i have the same paint on my car.

Do u think the original paint will be faded at all??? cuz i dont want i to look stupid. And how much do u think it will cost to get it painted after i have it put on?
