THIS IS MY 1ST TIME, SO GO EASY ON ME!!! lol i also have a blue cathode mounted up on top of the sub. at night it lookd badass. Oh, BTW, the ducky is Ozzy. He will have a blue LED to light him up soon. -------------------- Jared Harwell

good job. the only thing i dont like is that the box is so huge, but just has one woofer in it. i would have made the box smaller so that you can still have plenty of trunk space, but thats just cause i lug around all types of **** in my car.

^^ Exactly what I was thinking. Massive box , its probably not real efficent for the sub, unless its not full.

the box is actually a tad bit bigger then the sub.
.8 cf i believe the sub called for a small box, so i just built the surrounds for it. i hate the look of a small box in a large trunk. only thing i ever take with me are my lawn chairs, and they fit nicely between the sub and the back of the trunk. just thinking. i should take it back out and cut about 5" from the sub on the sides and hinge them. that way looking at it u wouldn't think anything, but then i can pull the sides and hide stuff in there. Nice job.. i dont like how big it is for only 1 10" but i also understand the thing about an single odd ball box. I think making lil compartments would be awsome.. Id say pull the top off and try to work out the material a little better.. Great job though. I have started 5 dif boxs and havntt finished one . lol

It needs to be that big. The bigger the sealed air space for that sub the better. My one huge complaint is the amp. You should really look into getting the Alpine CDA-9855 or 9860, alpine amp-link, and the new MRV-M605 V12 alpine amp.
BTW, to whoever wanted two 12" Type R's. Tell me when you are looking for them. They retail at 220 a piece...I can get them for 100 piece shipped. Just pm me when you're ready. This post has been edited by snadman: Nov 7, 2005 - 2:18 AM -------------------- 95 Toyota Celica GT

lol number 2 is a reason i have mine out too looks great! is a tad big for single sub, but considering the alternative of a small box, i think you made a good decision. and the ducky kicks ***! -------------------- I think Bigfoot is blurry, that's the problem. It's not the photographer's fault. Bigfoot is blurry. And that's extra scary to me, because there's a large, out-of-focus monster roaming the countryside. |
