Claudio, mine pulled that trick, but it never started afterwards, had seemed a little reluctant for a week or 2 b4 this, had it towed to the dealer. the dealer checked it out, the new Bosch Platinum+4 were completely fouled, totally covered with a layer of black soot, they decided the (new) Bosch wires had too much resistance,,,(they did measure a lot higher than the toyota wires) /// anyway, new stock wires and plugs and it runs like new again.

94,000 miles on my '94 ST. However, just a reference my Dad's 93 camry has 150,000 miles on the V6. Both engines, no problems what so ever.

My car is at just over 140,000 and its running perfect. Toyotas are built to last, I wouldnt be surprised to see some Celicas get into the 200,000 mile range. Keep up on oil changes and treat the car good and it'll run for quite a while.

Sorry to hear you bought a lemon, glad though its covered under a warranty. I think anytime you buy a used car it can be a crap shoot. Probably the person who had it before abused the crap out of it. I bought mine used with 65,000 miles on it. Since then I've changed the 1. timing belt, all other belts in the engine, spark plugs replaced, engine flush, transmission flush, coolant flush, and regular oil changes... that's just the engine/tranny. I've had a lot of other brake work done, but again no engine leaks and it runs great and gets good fuel economy. With 85,000 miles I drove 3000 miles across the U.S. with it, never missed a beat.

Mine has 141,000 and I haven't had any probs yet. Other than the accident I got into a couple years ago, it's only been to the shop to get the alternator belt changed. This is by far the best car I've ever owned.
