I was thinking about that too but I might just try to make some kind of a custom bracket myself considering the ones i wasted my money on don't fit! In the end I might just end up having a car audio place install them for me if I get any further discouraged.

sorry took long to reply but the 6 1/2 is what u need for the rear and i believe you do need brackets for the back cuz for mines if i were to screw them on...the screw would be floatin in air....i have got brackets yet and i should soon but for now i used that blacl sticky stuff from the front stock speaker that was holding the speaker to the door holder....buy yea i believe that the brackects that i bought for the font would work for the rear...u just got to cut the 3 screw tabs off |

if you bought the same brackets as me...it should work fine...u just have to screw small holes into the door speaker holder so that u can srew hte brackets onto the door speaker holder.... just line up any of the tabs screw hole or outer screw hole with the door speaker holder and drill a small hole |

Hell yeah, I just finished installing the speakers. In the back, I had to cut a bunch of plastic from around the bracket to make the speakers fit, but they eventually did.
In the front I used the brackets from crutchfield plus I cannabalized some plastic parts from another pair of brackets I found and bascially just used them to bridge the gap between screw holes. Took me a couple of hours to figure it out but at least I don't have crappy paper cones in there anymore. I'll post some pics later, right now I need to eat something and take a nap. update: pics here. This post has been edited by hackworth: Jun 2, 2003 - 1:05 AM |
