I contacted Bulletproof Automotive about the J-Speed 3-point front tower brace and they said if we can get at least 5 orders for either the front or rear braces, we can get a price of $270USD each + shipping. So that's about 10% off their website price.
The fronts work on all celicas from 1990-1999 The rears are also 3-point and only work on hatchback celicas from 1990-1999. These DO fit with the rear seats I'll contact them about additional discounts for more than 5 orders... but for now, is there anyone interested? A 3 point rear? Where does the 3rd point go? A hole in the trunk pan? =P Also... how did they manage 90-99 fitment? 5th gens have different dimensions under the hood...

jspeed makes a bar for both 5th and 6th gens. the 3rd point bolts to the middle seat bracket on a hatch. 270 is not a discount. I paid that for mine. I was not involved in a group buy.
Be prepared to wait almost 6 months to get this from bulletproof. Good luck DEF -------------------- I will return one day. |

i bought mine for $260 each (both front and rear) + $50 shipping.. so $270 is actually more than wat i paid for? bought from bulletproof automotive too.. took 2 months for my rear to arrive and 8 months for my front to arrive.

i guess defgeph answered most of the questions about 5th/6th gen fitment and the 3rd point for the rear
the 270 + shipping is for one bar. i'm asking about the shipping prices when i looked through parts database i saw the people who got these all got it for about 260-270 but i dunno how you guys got the deal of 260 before. because the price on their site rite now 307 which is already 10% discounted from a regular price of about 340 importing stuff will always take a long time. generally about 2 months. this is the same with all places. these are supposed to be made special order by jspeed and once bulletproof gets them, they don't ship until they have a full 'frieght crate' This post has been edited by elvasoshexai: Dec 13, 2005 - 1:01 AM -------------------- |

My point was more to question the organizer... who should provde a bit more detail if he hopes to get people in on the buy. The descriptions are rather vague. -------------------- "It's ok to be naked girl... I'm an artist!"

I was in on that before I lost my Celica(even happier now though with a turbo Supra). Though I would have been willing to pay 270 for it if I had the cash. These are well worth the money for the extra performance over a standard 2 point bar. Although I'd ask if it comes with the bolts for the firewall. I had to go to Ace to get the bolts. |

I have the front bar, and am also pleased with it.
Rear bar will not fit coupes, based on all the information I have been able to glean on this item. |
