you knew the expenses that were involved but you still went ahead and did it. You knew with your plan of buying these and selling replicas you would either

1 lose $$
or
2 you would over charge people to make your $$ back

you chose #2 and look where it got you. You knew from the start you were gonna overprice them and take extra $$ from every member...it's just wrong frown.gif

GBs should be for helping everyone with the lowest price possible, not helping everyone with a low price and they give you $$ too.

just let this thing go. It is done and over.

I offered to Do the keychain GB for free. Randy's work, Randy's money. Which means two dollars cheaper for everyone.

which is most likely why i'm not in charge of it anymore, and that doesn't bother me

the idea behind GB's is to SAVE money, not for the person whos running it to make a profit.

uhh, get a high school education then come back and talk

Group buy is a way to sell multiple items for a discounted rate, the theory behind this being that instead of making more money per item with a gauranteed amount of sales you'll make money through quantity.

If group buys didn't mean profit they wouldn't exist. . plain and simple.

Look, I still made you a keychain for free.
I offered .50c per unit then you pmed me again
and again I told you .50c per unit. And again same questions
as in the PM i posted last thread. So I offered you 1.50
then the dec 21 pm. I told you from the start 8.00
per keychain and yes I was cutting my own money
not jacking up the price. I have over 50 hrs programming
setting up and actual machining. To put it bluntly
I could have worked overtime the whole time I was working on these.
I could have made working for my boss gross over $1400.00 and
made him very happy instead of pissing him off with the whole
deal. So if you were not wanting more money why did you ask the same
question 5 times? I still have 10 hrs painting left. Maybe I should send the
Black with red letters to you to finish since I was never really for that anyway.
Do you do that to doggy, promise cf when you know he doesn't want to do it.
I was ready to give them away unfinished just to be done with you.

Dr.

the point of group buys is NOT for a middleman from this site to make money, maybe i shoulda been a little more specific.
simple concept.
the company who MAKES the product makes money, not the person running the GB.
also,
if you wanna try and take personal stabs at me, thats cool, i have no problem with that..lol
its the internet, not highschool

honestly, this is kind of retarded.
depending on the difficulty of the group purchase, not too many would run it for free.
I spend an average of about 20hrs a week on a GB before. making calls, answering PMs, calling people...
a lot of your guys have jobs, and have less time, but money
for those w/o jobs, they have no money but have time and can run a GB that they can't afford, is it not okay to have that exchange available to someone?

i'm not quite understanding all this.
there definately needs to be rules, and they need to be thought about, because w/e is made up can make or break future gbs

there was a reason for pm'ing u multiple times asking teh same questions... because you never answered everything together, and I didn't want the price to be ADDED with the profit... I wasn't sure, but it's done. And yes I am this way with everyone... A bit overbearing to make sure that no details are spared, no mistakes are made. and yeah i told people romas could do cf even though he dind't like it... i told them it would cost a lot more also..

Please, i'd take time on this.
If i had to take a guess at what they were now, i'd see only....4 people willing to run future GBs.

What else did you need to know? Yes I cut the price now. I offered jeff
2.00 per unit to take it over. He preferred to pass the savings along.
What about sakara's gb, for agc.com? wanna see some PMs from that?
You and I are here for different reasons Plain and simple.
Oh agc they are not getting anything from me thanks to you.

I agree with steve... how the rules are set up with single handedly determing the success and future of gb's
