When I bought my car last august, it had those cheesy purple peel-on tints. They were done really well and aren't bubbled or anything, but I want to take them off and have them re-done the right way.

Anyone have suggestions for tint removal?

Thanks!!! smile.gif

Get your self some razor blades and some good window cleaner. There is no real trick to it, just take your time. Peel off the tint as best you can and then start scraping the adhesive off using the razor blades and glass cleaner. No matter what you do it going to be a bit of a mess, you just have to scrape and pick all the adhesive off. Just don't scratch the glass!

Use a heat gun - or hair dryer.

Try some Goo-Gone also, that should take a good bit of the adhesive off

If you're taking it to a tint shop, you can just ask them to take it of for you before they re-do it.

Makes things sooo much easier.
