I used 2 have 1. They dont 'break' easily, there just not that well made, but a new clutch here, new suspension there and your good to go. And yes, the cars are VERY heavy, but also very quick. I would still have my 300zx instead of my celica if it was my choice. The only reason the 300zx is gone is because bald tires + wet interstate road = bad. If you use your backseat alot, then do NOT get the zx, if you think your celi has a small back seat wait till you see this, lol. Anywho, the car is hella fun to drive and *gulps* (puts on flame suit) looks and handles better than the celi.

what year is it....and was it the TT model or the NA?

i wanted to trade my celica for one of these a long time ago. i did a lot of research and learned that they were every hard to work on, because of the cramped engine bay, very heavy, and very hard to make any descent power from the stock turbos. i think to get into the 14s, you need an ecu upgrade!

other then that, i always liked those cars. how much are they asking for it?

I had a 1995 targatop TT. My dad payed for half ($5000) and I payed the other half (well not me but my grandpa and my dad never knew (owned)). lol he bought it from the police repo down in miami. It was in pretty good condition, I didnt do any huge mods to it when I had it considering my paycheck was VERY limited. I was only 16 making <$1000 a month. So my insurance took up a nice chunk, and dont even mention gas. But other than that all during highschool I could pull mad hoes. lol

if its not turbo no matter what its not worth it, my opinion, theres a 300zx car club next to me and they all say no matter what the cost non turbo is just a waste of money

well then they don't know their sh*t (not to be an ass) but a n/a 300zx 90 and up once modded can hit 358rwhp. the tt n the other hand has more hp but still the n/a isn't worthless you just have to mod up the engne a bit.

True, and they make a lot of mods for the N/A. Look up Stillen and Nismo, and you'll find throttle bodies, intakes, exhaust, pulleys, the whole nine yards. Good looking parts, too, all polished and nice looking. My friend has an N/A and I helped him look for parts. I've never driven it though.

I dont want to seem like a traitor to the celi community but I've been seriously considering this one down here in NE for quite some time know. Immaculate condition, one owner, 1993, 67,000 all original miles, new tires and clutch, t-tops, N/A model. I talked him down to 8500. Might seem like alot still but no. Remember the miles. Thats key. But i dunno. I love my celi alot and I've havent even owned it that long yet. I cant get both cause to get the 300 i would have to sell the celi for cash. College sucks.

They are also known to overheat as well.
I like them for the shape but I dont find they are
reliable once they are modded.
There are heaps of them for sale here in Sydney, and
you wonder why rolleyes.gif
Like Art said as well they have cramped engine bay.
I would still take my celica over the 300zx biggrin.gif
But Mac take it for a spin, you got nothing to lose wink.gif

anything modified can make power, its just a questions of money and effort. i have a feeling it would cost a tone of money to make that much power from the na car.

lagos was right, it cost money u can get a stock 300zx turbo to push like 250hp and the n/a is just insanely lower, if ur gonna hook it up then its still such a waste cause from 250-350 its a lot quicker and less money then say 150-350.. like i said it was my opinion and yes trust me they all know there sh*t, one has a fairlady Z which is a freaking race car..
