thats sweet. i dont know my guns that well, but ive shot a 44 mag once and that thing kicked hard so i cant imagine what thats like. all i have are airsoft and paintball and a pump pellet gun frown.gif.

well, let me put it this way, imagin u were trying to shoot 2 of the 44's are the same time in 1 hand. The 50 cal DE is the strongest handgun made :-p

Ever heard of a Thompson Contender.

You just changer barrels to shoot different cartridges. My largest barrel is a .357 H&H, which is a pretty tough load, but I have personally shot a .470 that one of my buddies had, and it HURT!!! And with the .256 barrel and nikon 2.5-6 scope, I can group 1.5 inches at 100 feet. For usefulness however, put on a 30-30 barrel and carry it as a backup while hunting.

Oh, and what other pistol lets you do this.

can i ask this..what is people in the US and their obsession with guns?? What is the porpose of owning a .50Cal pistol?? If some one breaks in, ur gonna blow half thier leg off if u shoot em. Its pointless for hunting cuz ur gonna blow a hole the size of a coffee cup. Like i can see having a gun for hunting but i mean..theres no real point to having a .50cal pistol. Do you not have somethin better to do with ur $?? And as for the whole "protection" thing..how many times have any one on this site ever had a break in to their house or w/e where there was a need to use a gun?? To me, guns dont make sence.

Its written in our Bill of Rights. some people collect stamps and some people collect guns. plus you should ask if bloodrain is an officer of the law b/c if he is then he has all right to protect himself and spend money on guns... if not, then its just a hobby for him.

just because somethin is a writin law/part of ur consitiutian doesnt mean u have to exercise it. Like in my home town, the longest street in north america starts here. Its legal to drag a dead horse behind a car, at any time of the day on every day except sunday up the street. Just because its writin in our law as one of the first laws when our country was setteled doesnt mean people have to drag a dead horse behind their car.

well jdog, your right and wrong. Im not an officer of the law but I still have the right to protect myself. The law past 1 year ago in Florida, you CAN use deadly force if your feel threated. So if someone does break in they better feel like dying :-p and yes it is just a hobby, stamps, model trains, nuclear weapons, we all have our own collections, just some different than others

come talk to me when you have been robbed at gunpoint. then i will give you an answer that will make sense. it doesnt even have to be at gun point, just have someone threaten you and take something that belongs to yours, or they will take your life.

Your right it doesn't mean people have to drag a dead horse behind their cars but the point is the CAN if they wanted too. I my self love hunting i own Rifles and Shotguns i do not own a handgun how ever i've never found any use for them other then killing people, for protection my S&W 12 guage works just fine i don't know a theif in the world who wouldn't hall A$$ when they here click-click as i pump a round in the chamber. But i still believe everyone has the right to buy and use their handguns i don't believe in them but hell if one of my buddys or family members invites me to the shooting range just to do some target shoot theres no way i'd say NO.

as far as the horse law goes, think about it, if you had to take the dead horse somewhere and had no other means of doing it, you could without getting in trouble. But its not like your going to kill horses and drag them down the road just because you can. Same things with handguns, if I felt threatend by a robber and I felt I needed to use deadly force, I know I can without getting in trouble. But its not like im going to invite people over my house just to shoot them and say they were threatening me. Its all about common sense. Do I think everyone is responsable to own a handgun, HELL NO. Anywho, my point is guns arent bad, its the people that pull the trigger.

Guns dont kill people, I do...

I think Bigfoot is blurry, that's the problem. It's not the photographer's fault. Bigfoot is blurry. And that's extra scary to me, because there's a large, out-of-focus monster roaming the countryside.

I've got a P22 target (5" barrel vs. the 3.5" pictured), good little pistol for plinking but "target" is a misnomer.
Be sure to make sure it fits your hand well, I know some people who find the gun too small.

Valo666: I can only speak for myself in terms of owning and enjoying guns; I do feel it's my right to defend myself in the most effective way possible and I'm glad the laws allow me to option of a firearm. An unarmed populace, in my opinion, makes it that much easier for everyone to be preyed upon by criminals who will use illegal guns. That being said, all I shoot at are really aggressive pieces of paper and none of my pistols or rifles is ideal for home defense.

its not to shoot their leg off

its to kill them

here in america, you can get sued for everything. say some guy breaks into your home and say you shoot him and the bullet parlyzes him

well then in a few months you will get slapped with a lawsuit, and there is a good chance that the guy who broke into your house, who wanted your possesion, and could possibly have harmed your family, will win and take damn near everything from you, legally.

why do you think when ever there is a shoot out the cops collectively unload like 50 bullets(a few months ago they shot way over 100 at some guy)?

the department does not want to get sued. its hard for a dead guy to sue for permanent bodily injury or medical expenses. i personally agree with this policy. i dont want tax payers' money going to some lowlife because the cops blew out his knee when he was threatening everyone with a gun

agreed. After school and after im certified as a mechanic im planning on moving to a diff country, gonna b goin 2 france or the UK. My friends said how about moving 2 the states, nope. Like you look at the statistics for every other common welth country in the world, highest death rate due to guns, US, second highest is like germany or somethin like that. France = 6 last year, England = 18, Canada last year was like 117, 53 in Toronto cuz guns were smuggled up from the states and alot of gangs came up from the states to Toronto. I mean, do you really need a gun?? Do you not have any other way of defending ur self?? Look where guns get us. I tune into CNN every so often to see if any thing big happened in the world between news casts, on the ticker at the bottom of the screne ive seen 3 diff cases in the last week where kids, no older than 11 have shot other kids at school or on busses or in a school yard because they had found their parents or gauridans guns some where in the house and wanted to show it off and accidently shot another kid. The last death by gun here in Toronto was on boxing day(canadian version of Black Friday), the day after Christmas, downtown Toronto near the busiest mall in all of Toronto, a girl, 15 years old, was walking down the street with her sister going to another shop, 2 men in a car with a 9mm pistol and a uzi drive by to try and kill a guy who was walking down the street not more than 30 seconds behind them. She was shot in the head, died instantly. The two guns that where involved, one was stollen from a gun collector's house an hour away, the other was bought in New York state and brought over the boarder.
