My celica still has the original factory keyless entry. When you lock the door, the lights flashes once. when you unlock the door, the lights flashes twice. is there a way to set it up so it makes noises when you lock and unlock the door? on most toyota's i've noticed that it has a quick beep to lock and a double beep to unlock.

mine honks the smae amount as the light flashes, if the alarm has gone off it honks three times, it also honks three times if a door or window is open. what does your remote look like, i have a gulf states package on my car and the alarm was part of that package.

And if a door is left opened when you try to arm it, all it does is make this really loud annoying high tone noise that doesn't stop until you secure that door. the remote looks something like... an egg shape? two bottoms, one on top of the other. the top one is the main one that arms and disarms. the bottom one i honestly have no idea what it does. there's the toyota logo on the bottom of the remote. and on the back in little prints on the bottom it has the fcc code thing and says made in japan (JDM remote! ) in fact... the remote looks EXACTLY like this! |

Idea: Find the keyless brain, test to see which one outputs to the parking lights, diode isolate it, throw in a relay and connect it to your horn or a siren.

My one has the factory alarm.
I dont know if it's different from yours since I'm in Australia. Mine use to be silent when arming and disarming. But then I read the manual and it showed me how to make it beep everytime it armed and disarmed. My alarm remote is a separate unit from the key. It has two button - Unlock/Disarm - Lock/Arm/Panic And inside the car it also has a button and an LED in the dash. If it sound similar to mine, I'll look up the manual and show you how to do it. -------------------- 98 ST204 ZR - Black Beauty - Roaming the streets of Sydney 73 TA22 LT - Tiffany Blue - Mint Classic Weekend Cruiser 75 TA22 LT - Snow White - Mint Classic Weekend Cruiser 77 RA28 LT - Flubber Green - Mint Classic Weekend Cruiser 94 MX-5 NA8 Clubman - Red Racer - Looking for corners WIP Project: 69 RT40 Corona, 2nd WIP Project: 66 RT40 1600s Corona 86 Corona RT142 - Daily Driver 6GC 4 Life Baby!!! |
