I see sites selling Boost Valves and other sites selling JDM Fuel Pressure Regulators. Now aren't they the same thing? If not, how do they differ?

the fuel pressure regulator work is to adjust how much pressure of fuel is going in to the engine and can be used in n/a and turbo cars and the boost valve is to relief boost pressure and can be used only on turbo cars....

Ehmmm ka0s if you are talking about the Blow-off valve then the answer of maikl is correct but if you talking about turbo boost valve it is the valve that you can adjust the turbo boost.

No. I know what a blow off valve is. I know that fuel pressure regulator allows you to adjust the fuel pressure but the boost valve I'm talking about goes on non-turbo cars... http://www.europerformance.co.uk/pages/pro....mhtml?id=29368
it says says it increases the fuel pressure 1.7 times.

So my question is... are they the same? with the only diff being that one is adjustable and one isn't?

There are adjustable fuel pressure regulators, which you can change to whatever you want. That particular one seems to increase fuel a set amount "upon acceleration". Then there are "rising rate" fuel pressure regulators which raise the pressure x amount for every pound of boost. That's the type normally used with a turbo system.

The link says that this valve replaces the fuel pressure regulator.Do most adjustable fuel pressure regulators replace the stock one? I imagine they do and have a feeling this is the same thing and they just call it something different cause thier european or something.

The adjustable ones do, but the rising rate FMUs are installed higher upstream of the stock regulator.
