Ha guys I just bought my 94 celica hatchback with 130,000 miles and am trying to get a good deal on car insurance. THe place I usually go to doesn't look so good. I am 30 years old and have a totally clean record.

-Just Liability was $198 for 6 months

or

-Liability with collision was $624 for 6 months!!!

-When I asked why it cost so much for collision she said that it *probably* was due to the fact that it has 2 airbags....and they can cost $2,000 to replace a piece!!!

-Wouldn't a safety device be more of a benefit than a negative for car insurance?

-I wanted Liabillity and collision but at that rate I can't afford it.....

-What do you guys pay? ANy ideas??? Got a good place to get a quote from?

I live in Massachusetts, so - I automatically get screwed since I'm under 25. I pay about $1,600 for the year for my 91 GT-S, Basic Insurance, not even the glass is covered. Like you, I also have a clean record.

$198 for 6 months just liability - man i wish i had that -
even you $624 for 6 months is good to me

I pay about $624 for six months just for liability - 1 accident still on file and I'm under 25 until this July - so once July rolls around the corner - I should be expecting a big drop.

Wow some of those prices are rediculous.
Well for me here in Sydney.
I pay $AUS600/yr for third party insurance which only covers
the other parties car, not mine.
Or I could pay $AUS1350/year for full comprehensive insurance
which covers everything.
Clean record, under 25 and the car is valued at $AUS18,000

That is about right for us Aussie's!

I am currently paying $1,450 for comprehensive insurance (65% NCB, clean record, U25, live in one of the worst areas for theft) which is fairly expensive, however, not as bad as when I was with one of the larger insurance companies and was paying $3,500 per year (that is also with the 65% bonus - do the math for the full premium)!

wtf, I would kill for isurance under 1K every 6 months, I pay 1600 every six months for liablity and limited collition, I have a perfect record, not 1 thing on it. my sister who has had 2 crashes (her fault) and 3 speeding tickets is less then mine and we have the same provider. total sexist bs.

NO ONE GET ESURANCE THEY WILL LOCK YOU IN AND SHOPLIFT YA

blu94gt there is no way you only pay 80 dollars a month for FULL coverage...Liability for anyone under 25 is over 100 no matter what company you have...I know you live in kansas, but still. IF you do, then congrats, cuz you pay the cheapest insurance outa anyone under 25 in the US.

well it's about $490 every 6 months, which is like $82 a month. I have a 25% good student discount, 15% good driving record discount, and like a 3% multi-vehicle discount. Without those it would be like $140 a month for my full coverage.

All of you who are under twenty five and pay less than 100 bucks a month have a new thing coming once you get kicked off your parents insurance! Well at least that's what happened to me.......after 5 speeding tickets! I know, I know... I'm an idiot. I've since learned my lesson and came to realize that speeding is stupid......without a radar/laser detector!!!!!!!!! HAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!Take that Johnny Law!!!
