oh i have seen this pic before (and saved it AND regularly look at it for inspiration and motivation) what about painting the WHOLE hatch and hood along with the roof flat black?

Give me till the end of spring break and ill let ya know.

what kind of paint will you be using for the flatblack? I think I am going to use some DP90. we have used it on a camaro front end, some running boards and some chasis restoration stuff and it looks pretty damn good...but its like $45 for a quart!! and i think it is polyester so it has a lil tube of hardener(kinda like fiberglass resin hardener) i hope it covers red well

i did a post about this about a month or so ago...i got a little flamed for it lol...im going to be getting the two tone next week since i just got my body kit in from boosted6g aka"clear" from cali. im going with a pearl money green and black up top. I'LL RACE U to see who gets it done first!!!!!


by the way...does anyone know what integrated gloss is? i think its when you mix the gloss in with the paint is that good?

That green and black will be hot. b1gred are you going with a red and black? Ima do a dark silver and black. and not a flat black, ima do a black with a silver speck to kinda make it blend with the silver.

Quick question does anyone or Romas himself know how you got the black you painted ure roof so glossy???

prob wetsanding with 2000grit and buffing, followed by some sort of glaze and HOPEFULLY some wax for protection

you don't really need to even sand for a shine like that, sanding is more for scratch removal. I would recommend buffing with a foam pad and light abrasive polish, then using an orbital buffer with polishing wax, then a Carnuba wax, that stuff is the shiniest.

just thought id let you guys know my car is going into the paint shop on Friday!!!! It wil be done by saturday evening. Finally gonna be reppin the two-tone.

i htink you're gonna beat me to it...this weekend we're going to wyoming for a week(spring break) arg

well actually, i decided to buy rims instead. So the 900 im spending on the 5 tires/rims will superceed the two-tone. Now im just going to go with a black paint job. =\

well i thought i'd try something different and well i love the two-tone thing and ill post up pics tommorrow but itll look nicer when the front end is painted the same as the car....................and i have to gain better skills with the spray-gun and might need another coat but it looks nice IMO

so you painted yours two tone yungazz? What kinda spray gun did you get??? Im wanting to split one with a friend, and we'r gonna paint our cars. post pics asap!!

i used a top feed airgun got it off of my buddy that worked in a shop, i really think its all in the prep work and only like 15% in the spray. you gotta have a nice clean surface and free of wax grease debris, etc but ill post up pics tommorrow seeing its too dark to take pics around here right now

well the prep work is very important, but its also a lot easier to do then the actual painting...Prep work is very routine, and isnt the FINAL product...man i think you should drive the car to a lighted area, and throw down some pics...no im kidding

well i took all day to find a freakin battery but by the time i found them it got dark but i took em anyways and ill have some more pics up tommorrow in the sun...........oh and if someone can brighten these pics thanks alot!!!
