Ok, so im doing a 3sgte swap.

so, which carrier bearing bolts up to the engine block? or do I just have to modify the one I have?

What axles are u using? And can you be more specific about why it wont work, like the bearing doesnt line up with the bolt holes?

Im using the axles out of the camry, and yes, the bolt holes on the bearing do not line up with the ones on the block.

you probably have to do the same thing you do with the 5sfe tranny. remove one of the intake manifold stays, and use those holes.

no, thats not it. NONE of the holes line up. not a one. I have to remove the intake bracket anyway, but it still doesnt work. Is there no carrier bearing that fits? Do I have to hack the one I have now? Cuz thats gunna suck.

what tranny is it?

note, that only 2 bolts are used to secure that bracket to the block. use blue locktite on it, also.

I have no idea what trannie it is. Its off of a 2.2L. The carrier bearing I have was the rear engine mount on the camry.
there are two really tiny holes that line up, but those cant be it?
I need pics anyone?

Thats a 5sfe, and that should be an S53 or S54 transmission, in both cases the carrier bearing should bolt up. Like Art said, its not going to get all 3 bolt holes, only 2. Any way you could take some pics of those holes that DO line up?

When I replaced my tranny I had the same worries but its only going to get two of those of the three. Next time go for a e153 tranny off of a mr2 turbo or a v6 camry 5 speed.
