the brand dual? if thats what your talking about then id say yea...They are by no means the best out there, but they do the job, and arent too expensive. I have a dual deck, and it not only looks pretty but, it has a 2 year warranty, and b-buy installed it for free. If you have the money, i say get something better like an alpine deck, but if your budget is tight like mine was, then Duals a good choice.
The one i have. -------------------- I am now a part of the ihavemorethen16gc club! |

i agree... not the best brand at all, but very affordable and worth their cost. I would say save up money and buy a quality headunit tho (You get what you pay for )

I love it. Fairly inexpensive, and it does the job very well. Edit: sorry for the big flashy pic, but you get the idea. This post has been edited by Verde97: Mar 5, 2006 - 4:07 PM -------------------- |

I'd say NO WAY I have had way too many bad experiences with broken CD's and other malfunctions. only thing they seem to be good at is price and looks

too many bad experiences? I had the same deck in my truck for two years, my step-dad has one in his truck (he only got it cuz it came with the ipod adapter thing) and now i have this one in my car, and ive never had any problems...one thing i didnt know about removing the faceplate was that it reset the channels, and thats the biggest flaw about em.

I would have to say a big no about whether or not duals are any good. I work at a certin large electronics
store, and I see alot of duals come back in returns. If you can afford it, go get yourself a Pioneer or Alpine deck. Kenwoods arn't too bad either, but if I didnt already a Kenwood, I'd still get one of the two mentioned before. |

I was waiting for someone from this "large electronics store" to post about these, cuz i know we have a few people on here who work there. It was definately cheap, but i havent had any problems yet. -------------------- I am now a part of the ihavemorethen16gc club! |

That's a factory pocket; I know because my '97 ST also has one. Very handy.

That looks like a generic one from best buy or something that they put in when they install an aftermarket stereo. -------------------- 1999 Celica GT

It's a factory pocket. When I replaced the factory radio, it was there. It has mounting holes made to fit perfectly with the factory radio, and with the dash opening. Earlier pockets had doors, mine doesn't.
