Does your CEL come on when the car is in ACC like the battery and oil lights do? Mine doesn't, which makes me wonder if the CEL LED is functioning.

Thanks. If it DOES come on, how would i get to the LED to change it? I suppose that would be a good time to switch out the LEDS, anyway.

Its not that hard at all and the bulbs are really easy to change. I took out my airbag sensor light since the car's airbags have gone off previously and the light bugged me. Other then that the bulbs are easy to get at.

the check engine light comes on when the starter is running. It flickers, but doesnt stay on. After the car starts, and u release the key to the "on" position, the light should go away immediately.

I found some at Oreilly... they appear to be the only auto store chain in town that knows wtf they're doing anyhow.

I'll try and take pics of the change, and document it. smile.gif

there is a bunch of threads about changing to leds, a lot of people experience blotchy lighting, you should find someone that has the color/style that you want and ask them exactly what leds they used, there seems to be a LOT of variation.

in the gauge cluster, there are light bulbs, not LEDs.

the bulb # is 174. You can get it from any auto parts store or Walmart.

my lighting with standard LEDs is fine, if not dark. So im going to try and find some brighter bulbs. Its not hard to get the cluster out, so i dont see it as a big deal..just unscrew and pull it out *shrug*
