you can start the car with the key
but i disabled it, so its just the start button now. My start button is a genuine honda s2000 button so its designed for it so i cant vouch for other items. ive not had any problems no with power failures etc This post has been edited by Sr_Ric: Apr 15, 2006 - 6:22 AM |

yea I did this a while back to my ST...easy install
Ignited makes them (illuminated and non-illuminated), there are 4 wires to connect. 1 - to all time power 2 - to ground 3 - to ignition/starter wire (black/white comming from your ignition) 4 - ACC power you can either cut the black/white wire and make the button the only way to start the car, or splice into the wire and have either work. Either way you have to turn the key to the "on" postion. pics for reference about $40-$80 depending on what kind and where you get them -------------------- |

I guess you could hook it up to your starter kill on your alarm, but it would still be pretty easy to steal.

Hey, it's more trouble putting the key in the ignition and then moving your hand and pushing the start button.
