-- I received the GT4 bumper a few days ago - and tried it on the 96 - i'm gonna have to get the lower C-One lip pretty soon - to make it look nicer --

while I had the Teins out of the 96 to put on the 98 i took some snap shots for those who wants an image of what it looks like with cusco's -

Odd thing is that when driving the 98 on stock suspension going into turns/corners the tires would screech as if i was drifting - now that the teins are on it screech's even more (cause i'm cornering faster) i don't remember having that problem on the 96 ever (unless i was going really fast)-- i forget what tires are on the 98 (continental something i think - all seasons) , but i had kumho's on the 96 - could it be the tires? I still need an alignment, but figured i'd wait until my steering wheel arrives in the mail to install that before going in for an alignment -- a full 2inch drop all around on the 98 -- handling is alot better than stock -

My2Celi - his brother and friends dropped over yesterday helping me install the short shifter i bought off of ebay - it's about 1 inch shorter - had some hard time removing one of the clips after the assembly was out of the car - but his brother managed to remove it --

another problem i was hoping to resolve with the short shifter was the stiffness of the shifting -- (which it didn't) i havn't driven a stick in so many years - i'm getting use to it again - test drove My2Celi's car and it was alot smoother at shifting -- he suggested some sort of adjustment with the clutch - i'm gonna have to research this - any suggestions guys --

To be honest, it seems as though short shifters have to break in. Mine was rough at first but now its smooth as ever. Shifts are crisp and tight. Its a 7th gen cheapo off ebay and its wonderful.
As for the squealing, its definitly the brand and the wear of the tires.

mine was stiff even with the stock shifter -- i figured it was just because the 98 havn't been driving over many months - makes it a little hard to shift and for a person who's relearning to drive a stick it doesn't make it any easier

they are easy to adjust - you would have to remove the tires to do so / and maybe a hammer since it might be a little stiff to loosen the spring seater -- all 4 are easily adjustable -- Wd-40 wouldn't hurt either

yeah there is - you won't be able to use the hex tool that was including - you have to use ur fingers to adjust it - unless you want to remove the rear interiror pieces to use the tool --- you can turn it using ur fingers pretty easily -- i havn't had a problem doin so

Ok, I have a coupe so it maybe a little harder.

Have you ever put yours to the stiffest setting?

nope - not unless i'm on a drag strip with smooth flat surface (which i haven't been to) - driving on normal road conditions i wouldn't advise it - you'll probably feel every bump there is

I'm wondering how you're going to make your bumper fit with the stock hood???

Odds are I would say hes got something coming... no fender and hood....

Anyways, the tires are cheap, I had the problem hardcore when I had cheapo 185's on there and going around the slightest corner people would freak out, because it was so loud. I then went to 205's and beyond that and never had that problem again.
