Is the Turbonator bull****, or does it really give you up to 30 Horsepower? ads for turbonators are in every tuner magazine, but always in the back in small black and white print. if you dont know what im talking about, check out turbonator.com it just seems too good to be true, and when it seems too good to be true, it usually is.

go with ur gut on this one, only way to get power like that is to strap a yard blower on your motor like they did to a civic SI

i read somewhere you can find the same thing on ebay for like 10 bucks. and 30 hp is probably a lil exaggerated. from the looks of it, my estimate is more like 3 hp.

turbonator is the thing that is like a 12volt fan blowing into ur intake right? Yeah dont bother w/ that **** you're running more risk of damaging your motor in my opinion, if one of those fan blades were to break off things could get messy. And its not gonna give you ANY gains imho.

i know your trying to do the right thing for your motor, but this is one of those times where you should just trust the guys who have had their swaps for a while and have done a ton of research into this.

Its just a fan inside a tube that turns as your engine sucks in air. Thats all.. My friend bought one for his civic. I pointed and laughed then drove away in my celica that can still kick his ass after he installed it.

It might feel like 30 extra horses to the trusty butt-dyno but not on an actual dyno, sorry

volume without pressure does nothing to help the car. pressure without volume is the same way. you need BOTH pressure AND volume to make forced induction work

an axial fan at its best can push maybe 1 or 2 PSI which is going to do nothing, because its drawing its power from the alternator and creating more drag on the engine than the 1-2 psi could make. so in the end you're likely to see no change in power output and eat up alternator bearings.
