I have swapped out my engine and returned everything to it's original position, but the car won't start. I thought it was the battery and changed it, but still no crank. I started checking fuses and relay, but all seem good. I had the starter checked out by AutoZone and it was fine. Anyone know the troubleshooting procedures for the start/ignition system??

bike, i really think you need to just break down and find yourself a 93 and a 96 corolla service manual so you have all of the electrical diagrams, torque specs, and diagnostic flow charts. i dont know what i'd do with out my service manual, it'd be alot harder for me to get anything done and i'd probably break some things along the way.

what engine did u swap it out for?

check all your ground, fuse box plugs from the harness, and the plugs that go from the engine harness to the ecu and interior plugs.

also test your clutch start switch.

its an automatic, A131L 3 speed.
he tried to swap a 7afe/A245E into his corolla, but he didnt get matching engine, harness, and PCM for the swap so he couldnt get it going. so now he's dropped the stock 4afe and A131L back in and it wont go either!
