ok, so i plan on possibly lowering my 95 GT with the dropzone 1.5" dro springs. my question is, how necessary is it to get new struts? also, what size and or brand is the best to get on a fairly small budget. i'm not looking to speed lots of money, in fact if i find it will cost a fortune to get the struts, i probably won't lower it at all.

I have coilovers for over a year in Vermont and I still have my stock struts so I'd say not to worry about struts since you are on a tight budget. unless you are really going to need a full suspension upgrade for racing its not needed IMO.

i dunno what dropzones are like without kyb's, but my ride quality isn't as bad as i thought it would be. just gotta change your driving habits... like avoiding potholes (big or small) and really slowing down for bumps and what-not. the road will always feel a lil bit bumpier with shorter and stiffer springs, just hope your stock shocks won't give out. if you decide to get the struts, try importrp.com. last time i checked, they were 50 bucks each.

i don't have dropzone's but i'm using my stock shocks and i've been driving with them for about three years now and i have no problems on my stock shocks...you just got to cut the little orange plastic piece(i forgot what it's really called biggrin.gif ) then it's all good...i do hear that dropzones aren't bad at all...

change the shocks while you're in there. it'll save you a headache of doing it over. and yes, cut the bumpstops or you might end up riding on them. do it right the first time or do it again.
