whats up people i just bought an injen intake for a 94 gt 5sfe and i have completed the intial assembly of the intake but i faced some difficulty when i attempted to install the intake into my engine
i had difficulty in 2 areas 1. the instructions ask me to disconnect the hose which leads from the valve cover to a nipple on the throttle body and then connect that hose from the vavle cover to a nipple on the new intake. what i wanted to know is that then does the nipple on the throttle body stay open? or do i need to plug it because it will continue to suck air in into the throttle body. 2. i was also asked to remove the vaccum hose which is suppossedly located under the throttle body and connect it to a second nipple on the intake. however i cannot find such ha vaccum hose under the throttle body. can anyone help me in answering these questions. i would greatly appreciate it. |

Okay, connect the red hose to the valve cover and to a nipple. You have to cut apart the red hose, and put that little one way air thing inbetween it.
The second nipple, buy a breather filter at Autozone (or wherever) and plug it up. http://www.6gc.net/photo.php?file=member_p...file&gbitu=1231 You can't see the breather filter, but it's just a small filter. |

okay i understand what your telling me to do with the red hose. but what should i do to the other nipple on the intake itself which is located almost right under the end of the intake that goes into the throttle body. its the thinner nipple on the intake and the instructions say to connect that to the vaccum valve.
the second thing is that what should i do about the nipple which was initial connected to the hose which went in to the valve cover? doest that nipple which is located near the t/b stay open? |

The second nipple on your intake, get a breather filter for it. It's just this little filter that goes over a nipple. That's all. Pick it up at any parts store. I think you just disconnect it from near the T/B. I don't quite remember though. If your final setup looks like mine, then you did it right. |
