came back from my trip - driving conditions were ok - except that i should of changed the settings on the Teins - cause the ride was a little stiff -

on the way back - the mounts started to make clunking sounds - in the 3rd and 4th picture the top middle nut came loose - probably due to ride being to stiff and bumpy -- so after tightening it back up - noise went away

-- i will have to call john from evilspeed.com and pickup some bearings for the spring - though it wasn't a problem with oem mounts

i know your trying to do the right thing for your motor, but this is one of those times where you should just trust the guys who have had their swaps for a while and have done a ton of research into this.

so what did you all decide with the bearing? does it only matter if you have springs? I am just wondering if I need to get something like that too...

I ordered them so they should be on the way.. just realized that one of my tires is bald on the front now and that scares me... :-(

nice, oh and just pick up some bearing grease and grease the top of the spring before you install it (be generous) that will preven the binding!

good luck

did you attempt to get the car realigned after installing the new suspension? chances are the pillowball mounts were not needed to achieve the type of alignment you would want. Usually pillowball mounts are best used for quick onsite adjustments and are not necessarily needed to achive a proper alignment.

the rear is fixed and NON adjustable...

so i should just stick with oem mounts for the rear? - though i still need to replace them since its pretty worn -

just because they are "fixed and NON adjustable" doesnt mean they cant be set, you can use the play in the bolts between the knuckle and damper to "adjust" the camber. my MR2 has the same fixed rear layout and when i reinstalled my driverside rear suspension i maxed the camber out to ~4 degrees negative camber... the other side was set to 1.5. whenever you loosen/remove these bolts you should get the alignment fixed.

yeah, i don't plan to use it for quick adjustment.. I just need to get them aligned since my airbags have it off by like -4 degrees. i just hope these will allow for that much adjustment..
