just got some JDM rear clusters and was thinking, some of you guys have both lights on each cluster lit up.
Do they do that as standard or do you have to alter them, if so how? thanks

(i would try them out but my car is having the kit fitted, )

Do you mean the JDM Tails? There is two red lights that light up at night and there is the turn signal. Both red lights turn on at the same time. Almost like skylines but squares.

damn, thats what i didn't want to happen. is there any way to make them both come on?

I belive it is... but I'm not sure íf it's legal . We have mandatory "rear fog light" on that second place .

just leave your fog lights on ? Batman might know how to make them both come on

It's not good idea... that fog light is brighter than common lights (so it's same intensity like when brake light -> it my look like you brake all the time). See edited picture, It would look like this:

Interesting...I never knew there were reverse fog lights.

i used to leave my standard tail fog lights on until one day i let my brother
use my car and saw how blinding they are. perhaps i can try changing the
fog bulbs to the same as normal bulbs......

That's why it's illegal use them when is not foggy in CZ. There must be some other way how solve this...

Just use a dual fillament bulb, get a socket for an 1157 bulb at the salvage yard and wire the lower wattage side to come on when your headlights are on and leave the rear fog light wiring as it is

So brake light will be just one, but commont lihts will be two like in the US right?

The break light is also both lights lighting up. And at night time they both light up.

I have done it with my GT - there is no problem to do it and fogs light-up with stops, both look exactly the same. Still you can turn the fogs on and they work.

What needs to be done (as far as I remember):
- buy diods that allow current to go one-way only (you need two per side)
- connect plus wires of stop light and fog light with one diod allowing current to flow from stop to fog,
- put another diod on plus wire of fog light, stopping the current from going to the fog relay.

Done.

I have found simple picture on our forum that shows the connections:


Light on the left is fog, on the right is stop / regular. Plus cable to the right is for regular light.
I>I symbols are diods - as I have written it the electric current flows from left to right and is stopped the other way around.

If I understand that picture right, that means when I use brake, two lights will shine, but regular light will be just one (and of course foglight will still work). Right? Is there another way how make work both normal lights too? Some other diod plus change bulb? Dunno...

Right.

You would need to change the fog light bulb and its housing to one like in stop / regular, connect existing fog light cables like in the stop light and lead additional plus cable from existing regular plus cable to new housing. Clear?

Sorry for my "electric english" but I am an economist. So I can write properly only about demand, supply, incremental cost and stuff like that.
