My clutch has been slipping like a mad man so I ordered the ACT Street clutch and was just wondering if I should do my engine mounts while I'm down there. I've noticed that my engine does have a chugging feeling if I let off the gas accasionally and I was just wondering if this was the result of my mounts going bad?
Anyone else experience the same thing? -------------------- |

Anyone else experience the same thing? You could have engine mounts going bad, or it could just be that you are disengaging the clutch too quickly. If you do your own work on the transmission, you will have access to 3 of the 4 engine mounts. The 2 which mostly control engine movement would be the front and rear transmission mounts. I would check those 2 for any wear or tearing. As long as they are not torn/broken, or show any signs of being ABOUT to tear, you should be fine. Engine mounts are very expensive business, and really don't need to be done unless absolutely necessary. -------------------- |

Go to advance auto and pick up a tube of 3m Window Weld Urethane and fill the stock mounts. Works great!

The inserts will work to maximum potential if they are used in conjunction with a working mount.
