Yeah, it will..just make sure to get the one for your car. I got mine from there and sometimes you might have to mess with the wires, like if it doesnt work when you put the same colors together(which they should) but mine didnt..I had to put my yellow and red wires together for some reason, but mines a pioneer. So you shouldnt have any problems. -------------------- |

sometimes driving in silence is good.
most harnesses include an instruction page which lists what headunit pigtail wire color goes to what wire color on the harness side. its just a matter of soldering and heat wrapping it all together. its pretty easy, and shouldnt take more than an hour. i do mine while i'm watching tv or talking to someone so it doesnt get too boring. -------------------- |

hey guys i ended up buying one of the "scosche" harness from walmart today and got it all hooked up and plugged the one end into my sony and when i went to plug the male end into the female end of the factory plug it didnt fit. the plugs are still the wrong size. the one that i used was the TA021, which when i double checked the internet information to the booklet in walmart it said it would fit.... but it doesnt.
Shrine do you remember by chance which walmart plug you used? This post has been edited by bdweber3: Oct 8, 2006 - 8:43 PM -------------------- |

I haven't installed it yet but I'm planning to install it myself. |

You more than likely need to bypass the factory amp, the wiring harness you are using is probably the wrong one. When I get home, I'll take and post some pictures for you and anyone else for future reference to show how I hooked it up correctly. Though I'm pretty sure this has been posted before.

well i was at class today and was on a break so i decided to work on my car til the next class. i ended up finding a way to get power to the sterio, i disconnected the amp thats under the head unit and using the two cables that connected to the new adaptor that i bought at walmart that has the plugs of this website http://www.crutchfield.com/S-ErgBDET0bOs/c...amp;i=120701761. its a temperary fix but it seems to work.
what confused me was that when the wires come out of the amp they make one plug that didnt fit any connector that i have seen at all. (kinda gay if you ask me) but the plugs going into the amp are the ones that were compatible so now i have a usless amp until i find a new cable system. any ideas anyone? if you have pix of how you did it (got the amp included and wired so it fits, please post b/c they will be of much use. thanks, bryan when i get home from class today il post a pic of what the single cable looks like (the wires that are comming out of the amp to the factorys head unit This post has been edited by bdweber3: Oct 9, 2006 - 11:12 AM -------------------- |

If the connectors were under the stock amp and were blue then you are using the correct ones. The single plug you are talking about is proprietary to the deck and comes off of the stock amp. There is no wiring harness for this.
I was stumped for a bit at first when I took out my stock deck and saw one plug that didn't match my wiring harness, but then I read on these forums where the correct wires were and now there's no prob! (Except finding the time during the day to get the isntall done) -------------------- |

this may sound like a stupid question but when i took the plugs from the amp the tweeter/dome speekers dont work now. does the amp that i disconnected and redirected to the head unit power those speekers? do you have the tweeter/dome speekers in your car? are they working after you swapped the head units?

Well now, I haven't had the time to get my deck in, I've just done the research I had the deck ready to install and then I had a few questions regarding the amp, so I stopped.
Though you raise a good question and it was one I have as well. With the 6 speakers up front, and with bypassing the stock amp, I assume all of my speakers won't work, right? I heard some people talk about an amplifier integration wiring harness and connecting the tweeters using RCA cables, but I wanted to know if this was the actual solution to getting all 6 speakers up front working properly, or something else? What speakers work when you plug in the wiring harness out of the 8 speaker system? I assume the rear 2, but which ones of the 6 up front? -------------------- |

sinyk do you know of anything on the market that would work to get all 6 speekers working (the harness) or is it just a myth.

this was posted a while back, luckily i did a search and found what you're looking for:
http://www.6gc.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=9930&hl= i've done numerous searches before and some of the details were still quite vague.. but to sum it all up, if you want to keep using your stock amplifiers, you'll need an unamplified signal out of the aftermarket deck you're installing (usually as RCA plugs for output audio at the back of the deck) to mate with the amplifier integration harness. i've already bought mine, the link is in the link above. here's how it should look like. Metra 70-8112 Premium Amplifier Integration Harness i'm assuming the rca cables plug into the rca outputs on the back of the deck, these btw are unamplified audio signals. there are two sets, black & white and purple&green. one pair for the front audio signals, the other for the rear. the rest of the wires hook up to the harness of the aftermarket deck for power, ground, antenna, etc. a diagram can be download here: Metra 70-8112 Installation Instructions the male end of the Metra harness plugs into the original wire harness connector from the amp to the factory stereo.(below) i hope that just about clarifies everything... this is what i've found after undergoing some research, but if any of it stands incorrect, pls post. azian_advanced: great pics there. I have a stanard Scoshe harness right now, and I doubt it will be exactly what i need, but i'm still going to play around with it. This post has been edited by Sinyk: Oct 11, 2006 - 1:26 PM -------------------- |
