Ok....Here is what I got. When I first start my Celi it idles really rough. And does so until the engine is warm. And when I first put it in gear while its cold it does the same. What could be the issue. Like when I put it in to gear with the brakes pressed before taking off and causes the whole car to shimmy. I know this probably doesn't help describe it all the way but any insight would be appreciated!!

I know this probably doesn't help describe it all the way but any insight would be appreciated!! dont know if this could be related but it sounds like it might. we did some massive troubleshooting on mine to locate the source of a very similar problem and came to find out that the distributor was leaking oil into the cap. replaced the cap and everything went back to normal. only problem is the o-ring in the distributor still leaks so i can already tell that the idles are getting worse again. FYI: a buddy of mine who has been helping me work on my ride posted this: http://www.toyotanation.com/forum/t163502.html which has some links to kits to resealing the distributor. hope this helps. -Jimi |
