It's obvious he had this all done at a shop and they told him a horsepower number. Good luck with 600hp and if EVEN IF you some how magically have 600hp.. good luck .. the first time you drag/dyno it you will break ****.. if that is a "spec" clutch.. it's trash.. you ****ed up there.. go take a visit to mr2oc if you want to talk to real men with real expirence in high horsepower 3sgte's and they'll laugh at you for choosing a spec clutch and also for putting a "600hp" 3sgte into a celica..

I'll have to go with +1 on the BS flag too.

QUOTE(Punisher @ Nov 18, 2006 - 1:22 AM)

Eagle rods? ... Could've done better

Stainless Steel valves... should've went with Stellite valves...

uh, they wont laugh at you for buying a spec clutch... alot of people like them, just not the stage 2.
any rwd car laughs at any fwd car anyways, thats just how it works.
id do more research before bashing this guys setup, even if it doesn't put down 600hp its still gunna put down more than a stock 3sgte. Thats really condescending when u say oh you shoulda did this shoulda did that.
shoulda hooked up his wastegate right and had his wideband in the right location tongue.gif
lets just wait for the dyno slip.

Spec has a new batch of clutches, frankly all clutches are trash. I havent found a SINGLE one I liked, except my friends ORC twin plate but i wont spend 800 on a clutch...yet.
There seems to be a lot of problems with spec, but they havent hurt me at 400+ on stage 3.

comparitivly speaking, his car wil rock on the high end, where traction isnt an issue, he will make a lot more than stock but who knows for how long in any car.

Maybe rwd laughs at fwd because rwd is superior for high horsepower?

Do more research? I've done my far share considering I built my entire setup...

Oh and my wideband location may not be the best but it doesn't lie and as for the wastegate.. oops.. I could've pussied out and used an internal.. or even kept the ct26...

But personally I would've went with different (better) parts if I was him.. but then again I would've had more cash to spend because I wouldn't of wasted thousands of dollars on someone else doing the labor.

Who said mine are better? I said if I was HIM I would've chosed better parts... but he probably spent a **** ton on having someone else do the work that he ate half his budget up right there. We won't see a 600hp dyno slip out of that motor and if we do, it'll be the last dyno run that engine pulls.

I wouldn't recommend doing the dyno pull after your first oil change either.. to hit 600hp you'll have to be spitting down some impressive boost numbers and I wouldn't put that much trust on new piston rings that early.

illestcv-celica, good luck with your car man. it looks like youve got some money into it. i really doubt you will hit 600hp (or would even want something like that in a fwd car). just hold off untill you have pics, vids and dynosheets to show some proof what making such high power claims. this is the internet after all, and anyone could post crazy claims just to have braging rights.

ps. in three weeks, my car will be 601hp , awd, and have a built in rocket that takes me to the moon and back. biggrin.gif

just to let every1 know i did most of the work on the car and the motor myself. I work part time at a machine shop in kissammee call p.c.c. auto. so did not pay thousands of dollars on is and i got whole sale on some of my part. now im havin a problem with some of the stock wiring. im tryin to keep the a/c so i have to trace all the the wires to the controls. this way i can cut the rest of the wires out to make it look better. so im try to work on that right now. ill get back to every1 later

word, well keep us updated...

but honestly some of you sound retarded....his setup, his design, his liking....who cares if you could have used better parts....there is always someone doing something bigger and better so your comments are pointless and make u sound retarded...especially when your setup is inferior...

let this rest until photos and a dyno show up rolleyes.gif

His motor, fuel, and tranny seem up to the task. I bet this thing should do well over 500hp if the turbo is good for it so don't knock him just yet.
I wish you all the best at the dyno. I'm interested to see what it does. Keep us posted

Lagos, I'll take the trip with you.
