Not really sure how to explain it, but we have some vacuum lines that are not plugged in and we have no idea of what to make of them. Please help! This is a JDM ST205 going into a 94celica that originally had a 5sfe. Here is the other info and pics. Please let me know what we are missing or how to install/hook up these lines.
we are using the stock harness from the 94. We are using ecu 89661-2b841. the car runs starts every time we just need to know where the temp sensors are and where we are to hook up this main vaccum line. The codes we are getting are 21 o2 sensor, 23 & 24 intake air temp sensor signal. I attached a couple of pics of the vaccum line. It comes off the bottom of the throttle body, goes to a hard line then slits to a smaller vacumm line then wraps back up to the corner of the intercooler. i could be wrong bro but i dont think you have a st205 there it looks like a st185RC engine. I could be wrong though, if it is that might explain some of your problems.

where did you get the motor?
where did the harness come from? where did the ecu come from? your motor is NOT an st205. you have an st185 with a water to air IC. the ecu your using seems to be an st205 one. the harness came from your 5sfe or from a 94st205? the hose your circled in red, is for the idle system. it gets connected to your intake that goes on the turbo. the ecu you have (if its is a 205 one) is not for this motor. thats why your having issues. even if you get everything hooked up right, youll have to swap out to 550cc injectors because the motor you have only has 440s. art has it right,
you have a st-185 which MAY be an RC model. from the looks of things, seems like you got some sort of "engine set", not a clip, with the W2A intercooler. you need to determine if you have a normal 185, or 185RC. the AFM part # can help to identify which one you have, although without getting the full clip, you cant really be 100% sure. if you DO have an RC model, and are missing some of the parts that are needed for it,(IE, the RC AFM, you may almost be better off running a regular JDM or USDM 185 ecu. once you answer arts questions, we can get to helping you more. -------------------- Former Team 5SFTE pro member ;)

You also need a intercooler water pump, heat exchanger, and water lines. You cannot run the IC water lines that way you have them. Add this to your new list of things to do, before you try starting the car again.

um... dood. if you want help, at least try to reply to the questions that i posted. it sounds like your trying to run an st205 ecu, on an st185 motor. in that case, buying an afm wont help you . help us help you by giving as much detail as possible.

The other guys are right. That is *not* an ST205 motor. If you are using an ST205 ECU (not sure, I don't have a P/N list for those), then it will not run that motor correctly. The injectors are the wrong size, along with a few other issues...

You can see a CT26 turbo on your engine, 205's did not come with a CT26.

Gee, this sounds aweful familiar.
Like I told you on the phone, that's not an ST205 engine, it's an ST185 RC. You can't run an RC engine with an ST205 ECU attached to a 5SFE harness, it just won't work. It doesn't matter that the car will "start", it won't RUN, because you don't have the right injectors, the right MAP sensor, the right air temp sensors, and on and on and on. You have to make some decisions instead of worrying about where a stupid vacuum line goes. Either: Decide to use the ST205 ECU to run the engine, in which case you're going to need the ST205 INJECTORS, MAP SENSOR, IGNITOR, TEMP SENSORS (there are two I think, one in the airbox and one in the intake manifold, which you will have to drill and tap), and a number of other things, and your engine will never run quite right because that intake manifold is a dual stage which the ST205 doesn't know how to use. AND, you need to repin/rewire that harness to work with the ST205 ECU and sensors, which is a lot of work. Or: Decide to use the RIGHT ecu for that engine, which is a ST185, (try to get an RC but you should be able to use any ST185 and just wire up the water pump on the intercooler to run all the time), and then get the AFM which it doesn't look like you have, plus you're still going to need the ST185 ignitor (that 5SFE peice won't work past 4000 rpm), and then you need to either totally rewire the 5SFE harness to run a 3SGTE (which honestly I don't think anyone in your shop is capable of, or you wouldn't be here asking questions, so you better send it to me), or you need to get the RIGHT harness which STILL has to be rewired to work with the 6th gen body. Then you'll be all set. Yeah I didn't consider that, there's another option. That would actually be the most expensive but possibly the easiest if it's a standalone that they're used to working with.
