Definitely turbo. I have always believed 4-bangers up to 6cyl get turbos because they work so well together, big blocks get super chargers.

After driving a turbo car for a while, I would say that I would want a turbo over a blower on anything.

Its possible to have both. Look at the VW Golf GT. Has 1.4 liter 170 HP and max torque 320 lb/ft @ 1750 rpm

my friend had a newer eclipse 4 cylinder, super charge and totally built (ie low comp pistons ect) by rip mods. i wasn't impressed with the power it made for the money. my stock 3s was much faster. ill see if i can find the exact hp numbers he put down.
