I found this Celi for sale in OH, and wanted to take a look at it, but before I make the drive, I was wondering if it will pass PA inspection and emissions. I will try and post some pics, but this is my first time to do so, so I dont know if they will show up... the driver's door has rust on the bottom of it, and there is no close up pic of the rust so i'm not sure how bad it really is... so if ppl can take a look at the pics and give me their opinion on how bad the rust is and if it would pass PA inspection and emissions that would be awesome!

THANKS!

Jen

i know, i just dont want to drive over 100 miles in my b/fs car just to find out that it wont pass PA inspection... his car is taking enough of a beating as it is with us putting over 700 miles on it in a week... but lets say its not PA legal yet, would it be hard to get that patched up so that it is PA legal?

I bought my celi(long time ago, sold now) in West Virginia...passed inspection here. Honestly, if the tires are good, brakes aren't shot, and there is no holes in the exhaust...im about 99.9% sure it would pass...since your in South Park, i know a guy, his name is wayne...works at Harbison auto out past south hills village on 19, take it there, and say your a friend of Jack Davis. He'll take care off anything you need done, cheap too

it looks to be in great condition otherwise. ask for more detailed pictures.

you should probably do something about that door soon anyway, you'll get cold air in when its cold and big puddles would not be good

I think that an all stock 94-95 ST celica would probably pass PA emissions very easily unless the car was in seriously bad condition.

But, unless you were getting an amazing price for it, I don't know if I'd drive 100 miles for it. I mean, I'm sure you could find one closer to home without rust on it. possibly even go with the GT model..

looks like the passenger rear tire is almost flat... chances are, there might be more wrong with it than they are saying... if there are none closer to you and you have ur heart set on a celica, then i believe its the only option to get that... i really dont see it having too much of a problem passing emissions either

also ask for interior shots, driver's side seat in particular.

and that door is garbage. You are looking at some major cutting and welding there or replacing the entire door.

I agree. A 94-95 ST is usually damn good with emissions, but the rust factor is pretty big.

Uhh accidents much? check out the gaps between the fender/front bumper, the repainted fender, the repainted bumper etc. I wouldnt buy personally. Your going to need a new door because of where the rust is....right on the lip. It would take just as much time/effort/labor/money to get a new door as it would to try to patch job it.
