Hello there!
I don't have a Celica at the moment but have been loking at the Celica GT. What are they like in terms of performance, handling, comfort and reliablilty? I think they look amzing but I just thought I would check to see the opinions of people who owned one. Cheers |

It's lacking in fullfledged performance.. but style, comfort and reliability are all more than amazing. I read one review when I was a kid, and it said that if rebadged the Celica interior would more than sufficiently pass for Lexus.
If you're using it for city driving, you won't miss the power of Mustangs etc.. but don't get me wrong.. it's not terribly slow either. It'll get you where you need to go in a hurry Shaun |

I have a 99GT. Its looks great and handles curves well especially now with my 17's and eibach sportlines. I think it has one of the sportiest interior styling around. It lacks in straightline power/speed, but everything else - reliability, handling, comfort and style -- all around excellent.

hey, this guys from England so he's asking about the the 3SGE Celica i think ;-)
theyre pretty damn good cars, are pretty fast for a non-vtec/mivec type 2.0L and have great handling esp the Superstrut ones. Look out for a JDM SSII or better yet, an SS3 with teh beams engine and 200HP >:-> |

hello mate, i came on here exactly like you lookin for advice on the gt, im from kent and will be lookin to buy one very soon, celicas are relatively rare over here so theyre gonna stand out, the gts just gonna be a quicker alternative to the st and the gt4s a bit too expensive to insure, youre onto a winner with the gt just hope you dont end up out biddin me!
all ive gotta do is shift a lame ass corsa, then im one of the lads!!! mike |

Thanks guys! that really helps. I was just looking on the web and I don't know whether this is right but the UK ones are apparently 160bhp which equates to 0-60 in 8.2sec which isn't bad at all. Although it might be a bit slower from my car I have at the moment which has 172bhp and weighs just over a ton. But that doesn't matter because the Celicas are Japanese which means class and with a Veilside bodykit they are going to turn heads! I can't wait to get one.

Nope, it's probably going to be slightly faster. Weight does make a difference. |

Damn dude i just got the same problem with the D S high beam, I like that curren and all but yo i gotta say that i think the tail lights on our cars are nasty. You just dont see any other cars with the vertical red bars for brake lights, and hell yea the interior is awsome, sit in the passanger seat if you dont often and its like WOAH this **** is nice in here.
