NO way that Supra has 1000hp. Sorry not buying it! Thing came out of the gate like a city bus and no MPH at the end.

i have a friend who saw this video and he doesnt think that supra has 1000HP

The supra that tufy raced was also on the street. So if the Supra had that much HP, I doubt he had 100% traction. Plus the race was pretty close. Tufy have you ran the 1/4 yet, what was your time? Love the fact that your car waxes mean supras. Nice work on the build!!.

I am not seeing much of a speed difference, between those and the one
Tufy raced other than camera angles. The burnouts and slicks really help,
the supras in your vids launch.

but yeah i saw this b4, and i dont doubt tufy at all, if u really look at it the supra spins his tires at the launch.

evidence as in dyno sheets, 600 hp celica and 1000 hp supra. Last time i remember, a 400 hp advantage decides the winnaR!

so after this race, he called you up and said he wants a re-match for pinks? sounds like it was planned out. He pretends to lose to you, giving you confidence, thinking you can beat him again, then when you guys run for pinks, he goes all out and you lose. So did you race him again after this race? what happened?

and where's cyprus? is that New Zealand?? i know a guy with a RalliArt 3000gt there

No, but I totally agree about the 1000hp Supra. Don't get me wrong, Tufy's car is absolutely amazing, but one of the following HAS to be true: That supra does not really have 1000hp, or that guy doesn't know how to drive to save his grandma, or he purposely drove like crap to get Tufy over confident. Once again, Tufy's car is awesome, but i'm sorry, 1000hp RWD supras don't get beaten by 600hp AWD celicas in a fair race.

OKAAAY.... 97lestyousay I would say about 3-4 seconds difference in the 1/4 is what you are seeing.
That Celica is a cool little car but it aint beating no 1000hp car! What is the Celicas 1/4 mile trap and time?
Not a 9-10 sec car I can tell you that....at least in that video. 1000 hp will be in the 9-10 sec range. Even without hooking he would catch you on the big end....MPH baby

So a 1000 hp supra is running 10s a 3 or 4 second diff would be 13 or 14 seconds?
Remember this is a Celica website so calling another member, a well respected one I
might add, a liar, is like sitting on the home side of the game cheering for the visitors, kinda
disrespectful and in the right town might get your ass kicked.JK You see what I'm saying.

Not Calling him a liar and I wouldnt call the celica or that supra a 9 or 10 sec car because there not in that race! And yes a 1000hp supra will run a min 9-10sec 1/4 mile and no car in that video was running that fast.Also I would like to see the "unedited" version of those vids! Sorry I have been racing a long time and will call BS when I see it. Now come on down to AZ and try to give me the ass kicking

i think it's entirely likely that a 600bhp awd car at ~3000 lbs. could beat a 1000bhp rwd car at 3500 lbs.

i'd think, with engines that powerful, that the quarter mile would boil down to traction. who can actually get their power to the ground. as for weights i'm assuming stock which could be wrong.
