i took the images off of tirerack.com they wont place them on a celica but will place them on a suby so i just did some copy past.

http://www.weds.co.jp/products/wedssport/sa90.html link to rims

keep in mind that while i dont have a body kit on my car i do have a gt4 hood bumer and side fenders as well as jdm tails, and im droped 1.5 inches all around.

i plan on getting 17x8 inch rims with an offset of 42mm offset

IPB Image

Ideal Offset in Relation to Wheel Width (lower ride height):
Width - Offset
7.0"-----36mm with 10mm spacer (effectively 26mm) *
7.5"-----33mm
8.0"-----40mm
8.5"-----46mm *
9.0"-----53mm (probably too wide no matter what offset)

i figure 42mm should work for me right?

im running 8 inch just cus i want to run a 245 wide tire to keep up with the added power of the 3rd gen 3s. not sure if i want to go with an aspect ratio of 40 or 45.

anyone have any pix of what that tire/rim size would look like

Hahaha, you guys gonna hate me, but i almost had a set of those teddy-rims on my previous car, a Seat Ibiza!

Thought they where cool as winter rims.....

Too bad the seller already sold them...

But my rims are 17x8 with an 36 offset, a little wider is possible, so 40 would be perfect.

how much body height do u have? r droped and if so by how much? im debating on going with 45 or 40 for an aspect ratio. At first i wanted 45 but after realizing how much it may lift my car i think i might go with a 40, but im worried about teh over all ride.

with the 45's my car will be about an inch higher but with 40's my car will only be about .5 inches higher. as i said above im currently droped 1.5 inches.... so i guess im guna have to take a good look at stock celica heights and either minus .5 inch for the 40's or 1 inch for the 45's (stock height - 1.5 + .5 = height with 40 and stock height - 1.5 + 1= height with 45)

or i guess i can just drive it up on planks of wood in heights of inch and .5 inch and look at my car lol.

First of all, I love cabeza. **** is off the hook. I went ahead and placed my car into a 3D CAD system to get a better look at what 17X8 -36 would look like. came out like this:

now with 100% more street glo!
