Ok so first I'd like to say hi Im new here, I read the rule thing briefly and did try searching my topic before posting so if I did this wrong Im sorry. Ok so I bought my celica about 9 months ago and love it. Its a 95 hatchback with 140k miles, The one issue I wanted to ask about was if any of yall had problems with the engine temp gauge. Ever since I got my car the temp gauge has been out of whack sometimes it doesnt read at all and sometimes it reads a little kindasad.gif any info would ba a great help , thanks tongue.gif

It sounds to me like your thermostat is probably stuck open. Have the thermostat replaced.

Like Dr. Tweak (Doc) said, replace the themostat. Also you can check the sensor for the temp gauge, it could be bad sensor or bad connection.

Mine was doing the same exact thing it has about 120k miles on it but that temp sensor costed me a new radiator which was really bad because that was ridiculous to find(i ended up gettin the new sender at autozone) didnt have much problems with the thermostat but sounds like you should replace it!!
