So i was eating after school and i walk out to find this in the parking lot..
There guy next to my car who say it all got the suvs info and all and say he hopes that helps blah blah blah... and then he say he thinks it one of the ladies that work there so i wait and wait and talk to the owner of China Kitchen he says he cant do anything then call Police and they say since it was in a parking lot and i dont have any pictures of the car hitting my car they sai d the best thing to do is just fill out a report and hope somthing good happins for me(basically they arnt doing anything since its in a private parking lot) so im wait some more and here comes that gold toyota highlander the first man told me about and it has a huse dent in it rear quarterpanel then i check the plates and they match so im like thank God, so the lady does work there and it happens to be the owners wife.. so i swap info,,she didnt have a current innsurance card only one that expired in 03 so i took down all the info i could on it and on her drivers license..So im hoping im good. But my real question is Where can i get a quote on JDM taillights? Because to me it was a hit and run i just hapened to wait long enough for her to come back.. And i really will not settle for not getting my car fixed properly. And i know these tailights might give me some problems. It also made my paint chip and bent my rear quarter panel and messed up my bumber pretty bad.. :-( -------------------- |

the insurance co will give you a quote for repairs, don't tell them the tails are JDM, they will just think they are USDM and you'll get the $ for a new USDM tail (same $ as the JDM) and the $ for the repairs to the rest of the damage.

QUOTE(Batman722 @ Jan 22, 2007 - 9:25 PM) don't tell them the tails are JDM ^ very important. Insurance don't insure aftermarket parts unless you have'em in the policy from the beginning. But, do tell the body shop (some how... some way) -------------------- |

usually the body shop will make the cost estimate and the insurance will pay them from that. maybe give the body shop the part number for the JDM tails to put on the cost estimate

Just do what the first couple people said and don't mention the jdm tails or you are gonna have problems. The price of the taillights in the estimate will cover the $240 shipped cost for jdm ones.
p.s. Car looks awesome!! This post has been edited by celica3sgte: Jan 24, 2007 - 2:56 PM |

If JDM tails did come off a junkyard in the area, let me know once you find out. That would be a nice find, there are a few things I have been wanting, but the ones I check never have anything I am trying to impulse buy.
