...our cars look really good when they're not modded? It's not like we own Civics and have to buy fugly bodykits to make it look like a sports car. This post has been edited by Cody: Aug 13, 2003 - 2:34 AM |

I like the idea behind the third with more of a Supra Style. Some better, closer up doctor pictures would be the best.

That second one does not look too bad!
Looks a bit like a Skyline. There are almost no rear light replacement options available to us 6th gen people, (Apart from JDM), so at least someone is attempting to make an effort! |

Yeah, I like the second one best. I could see that working really well on a gen 6.
-------------------- Facelift bumper-foglights-clear indicators, clear side repeaters, 16in O.Z alloys, stainless steel grill. JDM facelift tail lights. clear sidelights. Retro-fit A/C conversion. APEX performance springs. Remus exhaust. K&N performance filter. KYB excel G shocks.
Hyundai coupe Mk 3 (US Tiburon) leather seats. Gen 7 s/wheel. SR black vinyl door cards. Late spec spoiler-less tailgate with 3rd brake light. |

Yeah! Up Yours to the dude with the evil attitude. I'm saying that because my car has no body work but it still is sexy to look at.
I think the twin lights could look ok, if they were done with the outside lights being slightly smaller that the inside ones. Also you would need to design some sort of division between paint and tails, like a ridge around each circle or something. |

There's a difference between modifying your car and ricing it out. I would rather be stock than ricey.

i wouldnt necessarily consider this taillight conversion ricey considering its not that cheesey and you probably wouldnt see many of those conversions on a 6th gen anywhere...but i know what ya mean though...im a fan -------------------- Note to new members. Putting tail lights from other cars on your car = rice. Like putting Supra tails on ours for example. But thats just me. I post at some 300zx forums and all of those people would murder you if you changed your tail lights to those of another car...but thats Z...but then again they have the right state of mind. When it comes to taillight conversions, JDM or nothing.

Dude thats a pretty lame opinion of rice, people pay good money for conversions and alot of the time they look good. Theres people with some pretty awful cares on this site so dont bash these tails man, how about a silver celica with a cf hood black rims and the rest of the rice package, do people like that have there mom dress them in the morning because they obviously have no clue about style. By the way I like your car Im just saying dont spirt out that junk about rice just because everyone else does |

i dunno y this beef about rice and ****~~~ u guys should read option magazine and watch jap driftin videos~~ u'll b amazed by the werk they do wif lite conversions. example~~~ rx-7 fd-3s wif z32 front conversion. about ricin~~~ i think the only thing dat'd make u ricey is if ur car sounds like a motorcycle and has absolutely no go. and u hab stupid stickers dat are not from ur sponsors. errthin else is about personal taste and wut u think is hot.

First lights were lame (probably just a bad photoshop pic) the second two were ok, would need some more shots, different coloured cars etc.
This is my opinion... People used to be able to express and accept someones opinion well on here, pretty much regardless, this is why i joined up- it was refreshing in a forum like this. Recently in some posts people are getting very personal and basically trying to enforce their tastes. Were a good bunch, dont lets end up like all the other sites... |

exactly why i come here too man, I dont even have my celica yet but i like to come here and read the threads and learn about these cars. I have an mx-3 and **** if Im going to waste my time on those forums. They are assholes there, you could post the coolest thing and people will jump all over it and say oh thats rice, or ugly or whatever. Its a shame. |

The MR2 is another... which is why it irritates me when people say that dual's don't belong on 4 bangers... They don't work well with low-end motors... but 4 bangers are ok... This post has been edited by kuya1284: Aug 14, 2003 - 1:18 AM |

I didn't mean to offend anyone here, so calm down. I think that the tailight issue is ricey...some think carbon fiber hoods are rice (although I don't know why). It's just a matter of opinion.
