All that means is it's a Canadian GT - possibly with SSS.

GTS didnt come with super struts...just in canada they put the S on at the end. And i doubt its a GTS though.

EDIT: they didnt make the GTS after 96. They just had the GT, but also the new face lift celicas in Canada didnt sell well. Ive probably only met 2 ppl who have canadian bought and registered facelifts.

they did make gts after 96... i looked @ a few when i didn't buy mine yet.

there's another silver 96+ gt-s on my street and another silver 98-99 gt-s on my friend's street 5min away lol

yea, but if you run the VIN at a dealership, it will probably show up as a GT. they mainly badge a GT as a GTS

GT or GTS, what's really the difference ladies (I say this jokingly in a friendly manner)? I mean, I can put a Honda emblem on my car, it's not what's on the outside, it's whats on the inside. LOL When dude was saying how he is the only person he knows with a GTS, I was thinking about that one song "I'm the only gay eskimo", you guys hear it? It's funny. I forgot where I seen it on tv though. Anyhow, my roommate was playing it and when I seen "I'm the only one I know" I thought of it. Not saying dude is gay or anything. Just thought it was funny. Okay back to the topic. Seriously...... Gt or Gts, what's the big deal? 2.4L Engine maybe? Anything like 1.8L St and 2.2 Gt? I dunno. I am new to all this stuff anyways....

Theres no difference in GT and GTS except GTS are canadian models *as far as we know*, any ways..both GT and GTS have 2.2L, the only 2.4L engine i know toyota has made is the 22R, 22RE and 22REC that were only offered in old toyota Celica's, pickups, and 4runners. Its the same engine. To clear this up, go get ur vin run at the dealer, they will tell u if its a GT or GTS.

I was about to trade in my '94 GT-S to buy a '99 GT-S here in Vancouver a few weeks ago and it had no sunroof either, so it was a no go.

No you don't SSS is a PITA. Now the '99 GT is a big plus though. I agree with the above person - seems quicker than other GT's I have owned or driven.
