it appears that your youngest sibling seemed happy about taking it for a spin (red shirt) he looks like he just walked away from the car with the keys in his hand.

Beautiful!!!
2 questions: 1. What is that underneath the big vent? Does it keep water out for rain and are there more for the other two vents? 2. WTF does knackered mean? From the context I take it it means tired maybe? EDIT - God damn that's a sexy a$$ car. My dream car color and all. My dream car color and all. 1. the ct26. it doesnt keep water out, its an open gap, its met to allow heat to exscape the engine bay. The other 2 vents allow for air to enter the front of the bumper, and exit through the top, allowing colder air in, and hotter air out..the gt-4 hood is all about function...but it looks DAMN good too. 2. idk wtf a knackered is This post has been edited by devilsden97: Apr 13, 2007 - 4:15 PM -------------------- Kawi Love |

QUOTE it appears that your youngest sibling seemed happy about taking it for a spin (red shirt) he looks like he just walked away from the car with the keys in his hand. hahaha, that is my nephew, i adore him... and he loves my car to bits... whenever i go to visit he listens out for the car and is there at the door when i arrive... bless him... QUOTE What is that underneath the big vent? Does it keep water out for rain and are there more for the other two vents? the big vent has that cardboard tray underneath it from toyota as standard...the vent allows heat from the turbo to escape and yes u guessed it rite, it is to direct water away from manifold and turbo but also stops other rubbish being thrown into the engine bay.... QUOTE WTF does knackered mean? From the context I take it it means tired maybe right again... a slang word used quite a lot in uk, as in the context meens really tired, worn out... |

I don't know - look at the 5th pic. It looks like there is some kind of cover and not just the Turbo heat shield. I'm asking cause my once beautiful engine is getting really dirty now with the GT4 hood and my ssautocrap header's flange is rusting [nice stainless there SSA - since when does it rust?]
Knackered - the British have funny slang. [No offense - I'm sure we sound funny too] EDIT - Oops guess we replied at the same time. Cardboard? How long does that last? I'm thinking of making one from aluminum. Can anyone provide a pic or even better a dimensional drawing? This post has been edited by Negative: Apr 13, 2007 - 4:22 PM -------------------- |

QUOTE EDIT - Oops guess we replied at the same time. Cardboard? How long does that last? I'm thinking of making one from aluminum. Can anyone provide a pic or even better a dimensional drawing? well i say cardboard but it feels like it may have some plastic compund in it.. should last the lifetime of the car.. mine was on there when i got it, and has probably been there since the day the car rolled out the showroom... i am plannin on replacing it with a alumium vent, i believe c-one in japan do a specially made one for the st205, but i might actually get a wall vent from a hardware store and modify it to fit the car... QUOTE Live in Blackpool at the moment, originally from Walsall, went to UCE in Birmingham cool. i have a few friends living in walsall, i'm only 15 mins drive away from there myself... |
