nobody can tell you that without the car...

they cops have a method of X feet behind the car at Y angle
and then they can take a reading....you'd have to find someone local to do that for you........or a cop

what you should do is have a picture of an OEM exhaust on your car and show it to the judge saying you changed it, and have it dropped smile.gif

in NY its 100 to 120 dbs at IDLE.

which is BASILY unobtainable by any street motor.

they still hit people for tickets tho, its kinda lame that they still can, even tho the law states "at idle"

YEA INLINE 6! tongue.gif
actually, the carbon ti comes in a 4" for the supra, so that's prob why, lol

There is no regulations here in WV, at least in Morgantown. I can drive right by a cop and give it full throttle with open header and they just keep driving. It's a bad idea, because they will find a way to harrass you if you piss them off. Cops around here seem to be pretty good actually. I haven't had any problems with them. I do know some guys with high compression race motors driving the streets with open headers, and they haven't been pulled over.

That's a harsh ticket man. I know around here the cops seemingly only pull people over for exhaust if they are constantly revving high or just driving like a jackass to begin with. Other times it seems like there is NO logic why they hand out the tickets they do. bit strange. Anyway, good luck with the fight. 920 is outrageous for exhaust. i didn't even get 1/4 of that for driving without licence/registration, hah.

My brother got a ticket for his Scoobyworld exhaust on his legacy. All he did was remove the stromung cat-delete pipe and put his stock cat back on and he was okay. Still loud as hell though. He would set my car alarm off at idle from a good distance away. Lots of vibrations.

best part about cops decreasion, half of them dont know thats the law, so you ask them to prove its too loud, and half the time they will just let you go. I have been pulled over maybe 20 times for my old exhaust system, but asked them to prove it was 2 loud, and they just let me go...lol. Mind you that was when i was running headers, striaght pipe to resingnator, then a small little canister muffler.
