Hey bro let me honest with you...building up an NA engine for the 5sfe will be slightly hard, compared to what you could expect from whats in the honda/nissan worlds. Mostly because the potental for that engine is small, and from what ive seen lately, can only be made better first be gong hybrid or turbo. Firstly there arent going to be many "kits" where you can just drop something in and expect a 50hp increase or the like, and next you have to consider how you would build your engine versus cost and resources....trust me, a good stroked NA engine like the 5sfe, would be near pioneer material, as not many jump into that area with their 5sfe's.....but there still is alot to be done...go to mr2oc.com, and look up the user eazy2001, and read his post, or better yet check that sites NA section..it has alot of good info into the area of NA performance with the 5sfe and 3sge engines. Next research, research, research...im not calling you stupid or ignorant, but regardless of what you know, its solid advice. And also, being the link whore that i am, ill give you some links to some aussie/brit site that have done more into 5s/3s engines that alot of ppl here in the states have done, but all in all, if you are really serious into stroking the 5sfe, consider the big question of how VERY deeply, as cost/time/reliability/ etc.etc, will play major factors...anywho, just my 2 cents.. ^_^
LInk to custom 5sfe stroker cranks. Ive talked to these ppl, and they seem like they know what they are doing...they make custom cranks for the 3sge, but can make them for the 5sfe also --- > http://www.roadandtrack.net.au/ LInk to mr2oc.co.uk another mr2 site with good Toyota NA build references ----> http://mr2oc.co.uk/ LInk to carbibles.com . If you dont understand engines that well, or if you need help on deciding something, this site might be albe to help you ---> carbibles.com and try to go to MR2oc.com...trust me, lots of good midnight reads on there.... anywho good luck bro.... -------------------- (\__/)

Quoted from ozcelica.com
"we now have an australian made stroker billet crankshafts available. with correct pistons and rods, up to 2.4 litres is avalable in 3S block, and almost 3 litres in 5S block. not for the faint-hearted or weak of wallet. we keep a small selection of forged rods and pistons in stock, but obviously not the billet cranks, which are strictly made to order. We are starting on building a couple more 'street-tuff" 3SGT's, using slightly modified stock cranks. Anyone interested in a upgraded or stock engine should contact us directly. Budget $5000-$6000 for a street-tuff unit, depending on final spec." - road and track |

FE engines suck ass lol let the truth be heard.....inno, the 2.2l aspects of the 5sfe make it a good performance platform for mostly turbo/supercharged apps....i hearf of a guy who once supercharged his 3sfe, putting 170 to the wheels, untuned, and with a beetle supercharger or somn....it was all custom and cost little less than 800 bucks with used parts and all....... -------------------- (\__/)
