so some of you know I work at the service dept at Pep Boys, my manager is friends with a guy who owns a Car Club in Manhattan and brings his cars to us every once in a while for alignments or to put tires on.

its the Classic Car Club Manhattan and its right by the entrance to the Holland Tunnel

this was the 01 Porsche 911 Turbo we had in for an alignment today (had to get my car in the pic biggrin.gif )

later on I went over to the city where the rest of the cars (that aren't being used at the moment) are kept

the 07 Porsche GT3, 05 Ferrari F430, and the Saleen in the back

I went over today to help take the tranny off to change the clutch in the Elise. put it in gear and let the clutch out and absolutely nothing happened. 36k miles and this is the second time the clutch has gone out, the first time they sent it to Lotus and it cost them $5,000 and took a week. they figured it would be cheaper to do it in house this time, only thing is none of them there have any experience with it which is why they asked me to come help when they heard I knew a few things about Toyotas. I told them I knew nothing about that engine or the particulars of taking apart a Lotus either but I offered to help anyway (since I'll be buying that car from them one day anyway biggrin.gif ) It actually wasn't hard at all and they were very grateful since the mechanic said he'd still be there trying to figure it out and probably would have broken a bunch of things if I wasn't there... so they owe me (first dibs and a good price on it when they're ready to get rid of it wink.gif )

they aren't able to get hold of a clutch until Tues... so it'll just stay like this for a while

we had to take all the suspension components out of the way on the drivers side

lol nice

I actually don't really like the Jaguar E-Type, but a lot of people love it and think it looks incredible... confused.gif

they have a burgundy '77 Aston Martin V8 that I would have to say is probably my favorite classic/old car, but that thing runs like complete siht, extremely rich and makes a horrible smell and thats just how its supposed to run
