QUOTE(DSToyo @ May 10, 2007 - 5:46 PM) im not sure how it works, but would the guy at the dmv who made the mistake have to pay that money, that you were supposed to pay, out of his pocket? thats the thing, he was new so he had some supervisor lady over his shoulder and she was the one that told him to type a "Y" in the space for "payment made in full". i wouldnt want some guy 2 loose his job for it, so i mean if 2 people cant figure out i didnt hand them a dime, then why should i feel bad? the supervisor was even the one that signed my receipt. -------------------- Your signature is not allowed on 6GC - Defgeph

Nothing wrong with it!!! goes to show how imature and self-centered. Odd are the clerk had to pay for his mistake either by getting fired or paying the money you should have paid. The clerk is not DMV. You are making someone else pay for what you feel that the DMV is doing to you. Grow up

BTW - I woulda done the same thing. $285 for parking wrong is BS. If he's new I doubt he'll get in trouble - especially with a supervisor who was there with him. -------------------- |

thats great I wouldnt feel bad either! If they do figure it out then they can take it from the newbies first pay check as a lesson to him haha.
I got an extra $20 from there once. I went to the ATM machine inside the DMV & asked for $60.... & it gave me $80. Hehe! I checked my receipt about 3 times cause I couldnt believe it lol -------------------- |

sounds like a good day at the dmv, there few and far between.
I would feel bad but if they hired compitant employees capable of doing a good QUICK job then they would not have that problem. I would not be proud of it and would have mentioned something if they made a mistake but if they let it go, not your problem. last time i went to the dmv was to remew my license, got my number waited a few hours got up there they asked for something I forget but I left it in my car so the lady said to run out and grab it quick. came back in (less then a min later) saw she was with someone else, so i stood there close waiting, I was way to calm about it and sat there for like 20 min for that lady to move as slow as posible in helping the other customer then she asked me if I had a number, and what i was there for. -------------------- |

Morals and ethics aside, you might want to double check to make sure your tags are up to date. If they do have video, or can prove within policy that you in fact did not pay, it doesn't take long to go back and correct their records.
I'd hate to think I was given a break, only to be stopped six months later for any number of infractions possible (expired tags even), then have to pay the original parking tickets, a late fee, and any possible tickets resulting from said traffic stop up to and including having invalid registration stickers on the tag. So instead of paying the original $285 or whatever, now you're up to possibly a few grand depending on your attitude and how bad of a day the officer is having. That would suck. |

QUOTE(Daftboy @ May 10, 2007 - 10:31 AM) Playr....I know how to drive and I know not when to cross the damn road....it was notlike he was at the cross walk ...he was a good 1000 feet from the intersection...I had yield to the people crossing in the cross walk then went...After driving and now at speed a man RAN across the road , if i hit my brakes i still would have hit him cause i would not have slowed in time. So instead i moved out of the lane so that he would not get hit. Also take in mind this is at 10pm and its dark. I really had no choices here....I did my best to not hit him... and i didn't....the lame @ss who crosse dthe road should have also gotten a jay-walking ticket as well to be fair. jwalking ticket in NYC? -------------------- Note to new members.
